I gasp. My eyes widened at his words.
Chancing a look at the other rogues, I swallow deeply.
Oh, goddess!
I facepalm.
"Are you trying to threaten me?" I frown at him.
"I'm not trying to threaten you, Mek. I'm going to make good on my words should you not do as I asked." He darkly frowned at me.
" I…" I swallow deeply. " I'm not hungry. I'm exhausted, I need to take a rest. At least sleep to regain my strength."
" Do you want to obey my command, or do you want me to make good on my threat?" He raised a brow at me.
" I will…" I look at the males, who are all pretending as if they are not listening to our conversation.
Taking a very deep breath, I sit on his lap without further Ado.
"This is what you would have done since. At least it would have saved me the strength I made use of to talk." He turned to the others who are looking at their plates as if it holds enough attraction to them more than us. "Let's eat."

The moment we finished our meal, I sat up from his lap. "I'll take care of this." I packed the plates, and head to the kitchen without looking back at the rogue.
I bet he must be looking smug at the fact he got to embarrass me in the presence of others.
I ball my hand to fist as I tried to get the image of me sitting on his lap, out of my mind.
I wash the plates as fast as I can and walk out of the kitchen.
"I'm going to head to my room." I made to walk past him, but he stopped me from doing so by holding my hand in his.
"What's it?" I look down at him with a frown.
"Good night," he tugged me down and pecked my cheeks. " Have a goodnight." He let go of my hand to show I'd been dismissed.
"Why…."
"Go ahead and sleep."
He urged me towards the door, and like a zombie, I walk towards my room without further Ado.
In the protection of my room, I close the door and lean on it.
He kissed me.
I touch my cheeks.
But why?
Why did he kiss me?
Is this a part of the punishment he meant when he talked?
I touch my cheeks, and my heart raced.
Why?
I tug my poor short hair in frustration.
"Why did he kiss me?!" I scream at the top of my lungs, not at all mindful of the fact they might hear my shouts.
I just don't care at all.
Not when my heart is racing like that of a person who ran a marathon.

"Your mate is cute," Axe smirked as he said so.
"I've seen that you're ready to meet your ancestors." Smirking, I place my hand on the table and lean closer.
"What?" He blinked before his eyes widened in understanding. "That's not what I meant." He nervously chuckled at his words. "I was just kidding, you know."
"I can see that." I nod at his words, "I will also be kidding when I decide to show you what happens to those who give my mate more than a single look."
" That's…."
"So, what are you planning to do?" Dag asked as he leaned closer. "How are you going to get him to acknowledge you as his mate?"
" I have my plans," I smirk at him, you don't have to worry about me. Just worry about your friend and his wandering eyes." I glare at Axe, "for our friendship, I hope you keep your comments and eyes to yourself."
I really won't be held responsible for what might happen to him should he so much as look at my mate in a way that's not acceptable to me.
" It was a one-time thing. Moreover, I have my mate with me."
" Then think of them, and stop calling another person's mate cute." I ball my hand into an angry fist.
" I'm sorry. It was a one-time thing."
" Better for you."
I smirked when I recalled what happened right now.

"I will have a meeting with the Werewolves of the pack."
"Why?"
"Do I have a reason to call for a meeting?" I turned my glare to my Beta. "Do I need to ask for your permission before I call for a meeting?" I growl at him.
" Not at all, my Alpha." He bowed," I'll get right to it."
" Be fast."
I figured I've wasted enough time indoors. It's time to meet my new pack, and make my position known to them.
Walking to my Mate's room, I knock on his door.
"Go away!" He shouted from the other side.
"Why should I go away when you are in there?" I smirk.
" Go away, I don't have time for your plays." He shouts," I want to stay in today."
" I have something to tell you." I stubbornly stood there waiting for him to open the door.
Not that the door was locked, but I would like to give him the privacy he so deserves.
"I would rather not hear whatever you have to say. Just go away, I would like to be on my own."
"I need to tell you something. Please open up and listen to me."
" I won't."
" I'm going to your pack today," I said in a bid to get him to open the door.
" You can… wait a minute." He flung the door open, and locked eyes with me. "What did you just say?"
"I'm going to your pack today," I smirk at him, proud of myself for getting the right solution to this.
"Why? You promised not to hurt them. Why are you going there? What did I do wrong? Was it because of how stubborn I was last night? Was…."
" You might have forgotten this, but your pack is now mine. You gave it over to me."
"What???"
" As the new Alpha of the pack, I must take care of my pack."
