Chapter 30 - Temple of Progenitors, Marshal's Meeting

"He is the Hospital's Director, the one responsible for the health department of our Academy." After bickering with the old man, Old Seven introduced him to Aria.

"Greeting senior!" Aria greeted as he used detection on the old man.

Everything was shrouded in [ ??? ] as Athenaeum's voice requested him to increase his strength.

"No need to be so formal, address me as Director." Meanwhile the old man flinched his hands in denial with the greeting.

"Don't look down on this old fellow. If he says he is second with regards to the treatment of a human body, no other person would dare to claim the first place." Old Seven showered praise for the Director who in return just smiled.

Aria nodded in understanding as the duo then bid farewell to the Director and left.

"Old man, how could the Director pinpoint my body's condition with just a glance?" A puzzled Aria decided to ask. Even though Athenaeum had sealed his body's power, the Director was able to pinpoint it accurately. As for the reason Athenaeum did not answer as if something was blocking it.

This was really weird for him, thus he directly decided to ask Old Seven.

"Heh, that old man is really…." Old Seven replied as a sigh left his mouth.

"Despite his appearance, don't be fooled by that old man. As for the reason behind him being able to derive your body's secret; all I can say is that he has sharp senses, much sharper than anyone you can even imagine." He sighed again and divulged a somewhat acceptable reason.

Sensing that Old Seven did not want to speak about it, Aria decided to let it go. For him, it was just an issue of curiosity, the main issue was Athenaeum's seal was seen through.

"Where are we going?" He changed the topic again and asked.

For some time they had been walking, Aria had seen many different houses but most of them were either unoccupied or empty, so he asked.

"I am sure by now you must have known that I am one of the Marshal's of the Academy and there are six other people with the same level of authority and power. Since we are here, I arranged a meeting with the rest of the old fellows." Old Seven explained as he stopped.

Aria too stopped, as his gaze landed on the open space in front of him. Unlike the other houses which were bordered by walls or fences, the scene in front of him created a sense of transparency with free air along with the lively and flourishing flora and fauna.

In the center of the presumably square shaped open land filled with trees and chirping birds along with some animals was a huge structure, engraved with many different drawings.

"See that, that is the Temple where the progenitors used to reside during the construction of the Academy. This Temple was carved single handedly by one of the progenitors using their mastery over the Wheel of Chakra. As for the rest of the things, you are not yet qualified to listen to them," Old Seven explained briefly with a hint of pride and serenity as he pointed at another structure beside the huge Temple.

"That is the section open to everyone, you should wait there. There are also some archives that explain human history. I have already talked to the gatekeeper, he shall guide. By the time I arrive, you can go through the archives." Saying so, Old Seven hurried towards the Temple.

Aria's gaze was still on that Temple as he squinted his face from time to time. He was hoping for the 'Book of Athenaeum' to trigger and unlock some Knowledge but it did not happen.

'Hey? Athenaeum?'

Despite asking, there was no answer. It had been like this since the visit to the Director.

Such thoughts swirled in Aria's mind as he proceeded towards his destination while stealing glances of the huge Temple.

Meanwhile, Old Seven had reached the stairs of the Temple and was hurrying inside. As soon as he entered the doors of the Temple----

-Splat-

He spit a huge mouthful of crimson red blood on the floor of the Temple.

"Was it really necessary?" A voice sounded from beside him.

"I had to do it! Whatever the case maybe, the dignity of the Academy cannot be tarnished." Old Seven said as he wiped the stain of blood from the piece of cloth handed to him by the same person.

"Let's go, others are waiting for you!" The person beside him guided him inside towards the center of the Temple where there were seven prayer mats arranged in a heptagon manner.

The inside of the Temple was very simple with four huge pillars engraved with an ancient history. If the outside of the Temple could be said as a depiction of the macrocosm, then the inside was the depiction of the microcosm.

Old Seven proceeded towards the empty prayer mat and sat cross legged. With his arrival the rest of the six figures who were seated on their prayer mats hidden in darkness opened their eyes slowly.

The person who had guided Old Seven to the center, hurriedly bowed and left.

"How is the situation?" Old Seven asked in a solemn manner.

"Right now, the news hasn't reached the Void Kingdom yet, but considering their stubborn nature they will surely try to create some trouble for us." A voice echoed from one of the prayer mats.

"Hmm, how should we deal with it then?" Another voice sounded from the other prayer mat.

"I am recently experiencing some kind of blockage during my meditation. I can use this opportunity to clear my thoughts." The previous voice was heard once again.

"How about it, Three?" Old Seven asked.

"There might be a possibility of Four achieving a breakthrough." Another voice which was close to Old Seven sounded.

"Alright, then Four you can handle this situation. But make sure not to go overboard. Two, you should keep a watch on them, in case something happens." Old Seven handed his judgment.

"Now, let's proceed with the other matters. First, let's go with you, how is the First Pavilion doing?" Old Seven proceeded with the other talks and thus the meeting between the seven most powerful persons began. A meeting that would change the structure of the Academy everytime it happened.
