Few minutes passed by in such a manner, Aria was not aware of how long the process would take but Dron who was beside him was well aware of it. He looked at the facial expression of the soldier and he knew something was definitely wrong.
"Senior, is something the matter?" He asked.
"It's weird. According to the cadet's registered data, he should be allotted a room on the second floor. I checked the dorm list yesterday and there were few slots available but somehow they are all occupied." The soldier answered in a puzzled manner.
Listening to the answer Aria frowned his brows in irritation.
"I am sorry cadet. You can only be allotted to the dorm on the first floor. Hope you don't mind." The soldier consoled Aria as he apologized.
"Don't worry man, you can stay with me if you don't mind. I have no roommate at the moment." Before Aria could voice his answer, Dron's voice chimed in filled with enthusiasm.
"Of course, I have no problem with it." Aria replied as a smile blossomed on his face. To him, status was of no value as even in his previous life he used to stay with the house help in their rooms and chat with them. Aria used to consider this as luxury and even enjoyed that.
Soon, his registration was completed and Dron guided him to his room. His room was located at the end of the floor in a desolate corner that was rarely visited by anyone. Dron was worried that Aria would ask to change his room, so he was glancing at him with his pupils every now and then.
"Welcome to my humble abode, or should I say our humble abode." Dron cheered and a smile crept on his face as he opened the door.
Aria gazed at the room and noticed that it was a small room with two beds at each corner, there were study tables with chairs beside the bed followed by a small wardrobe. There was no window in the room and the only source of light was the one provided by a small device on the ceiling.
"This here is my bed. You can take that one. As for the clothes and stuff, we can only wear our uniforms in the Academy and the district outside. So you should receive a couple of week's worth of clothing and they should arrive within the day, make sure to leave your bad clothes outside in that rack. The house help would arrive every seven days and pick it up for cleaning and they would be restocked." Dron explained the details of the room.
"The bathroom is attached to this room and is over there. You will need to buy your share of toiletries and other things you need at the convenience store on the ground floor beside the dining area." Saying so Dron looked at his left wrist and there was a small rectangular thing on it.
Aria too noticed it and as if sensing his gaze, Dron explained, "I know it's quite outdated here but it's the only thing that I have left from my house. It will be time for lunch soon. Today there should be fried chicken along with a nice and warm broth filled with nutrients. Hmm, there should also be other side dishes."
A hint of sadness appeared on his face which disappeared quickly which was followed by eagerness to gulp the food. Aria noticed it but did not pry further, combing through his chaotic memories he pretty soon found out it was the watch that the people used on the ground.
"I see, by the way do you perhaps know how to operate this thing over here? I was taught by my friend but I forgot." Aria finally asked as he pointed at the tactical watch on his left hand.
Pretty soon the duo was engrossed in their chatter as Dron explained how the tactical watch worked. According to him a tactical watch had everything that a person required to function on this continent.
Aria had read a lot of books in the archive and was aware of the general topography of the continent. The continent they were on covered a huge piece of land. Apparently there existed legends that mentioned that the continent was created by using the body of the three great progenitors as a foundation but that was just a myth and no one actually knew the secret behind the continent's creation and what mysteries it held.
According to the history books, the location surrounding the Academy had been converted into a city which was called the "Central City'. Further from the Central city the area was divided into four parts and governed by four Guardian Families. Apart from the Guardian families there were multiple other families and tribes that were scattered throughout the continent. Some being the descendants of the warriors that fought during the wars and some who settled on the continent during its construction. In fact the continent itself was like a world that was separated from the ground.
"I see, although it's still a bit difficult, I should be able to grasp all the functions pretty soon." Aria said as he fiddled with the tactical watch.
Soon a series of messages appeared on the retina.

[ Host has unlocked the knowledge of science ]

After a small headache, Aria's mind was drenched in the knowledge and working mechanism of the tactical watch along with various other technical devices.
'What was that Athenaeum?'
[Athenaeum has unlocked certain knowledge that corresponds to the Host's level]
'Then why didn't it work before?'
[Energy and Strength criteria were not fulfilled]
[Host should increase his power soon]
The conversation within his mind happened in an instant.
Dron on the other hand was looking at him as if he was some kind of monster. Before arriving at the Academy he worked part-time in order to survive and thus he knew the mechanics behind the technology used in creating the tactical watch and its function. So it was understandable for him to be able to understand it.
'What the hell! Did he lie to me when he said he does not know how to use the tact watch?'
Dron said as he looked at Aria who was getting adapted to the functions of the tactical watch at a very rapid speed. He averted his gaze from him and checked time on his watch.
"Aria, it's time for lunch. Let's hurry or else we might not be able to get the fried chicken in time." Dron said in an anxious tone.
"Oh right, I forgot to share the door's passcode with you." He continued and shared the passcode with Aria.
And just like that the duo headed towards the dining area to enjoy their lunch.
