The glow from the energy mass illuminated the body of the target as its black scale-like exterior reflected the light. The immense size of the entity was close to that of Fightercraft. Just as the energy mass neared the entity, it opened its maw which was devoid of any teeth or biological structure. The energy mass changed its direction as if attracted toward the darkness within the maw.
During the whole duration which flashed past in seconds, the entity's vertical eye slits that radiated a golden hue were locked on the Fightercraft. Within the Fightercraft's deck, everyone watched in horror as the entity termed an anomaly swallowed the energy mass powerful enough to obliterate an entire planet the size of the moon.
Mata gazed at the entity that was observing the Fightercraft as if it were a worm. Suddenly the huge maw opened once again.
"Secondary systems fire at will at the target. Get those Dark Matter weapons ready." Mata relayed his order calmly.
