It's been a week since we had dinner at Adrian's house and since we decided to stay friends. It's been a painful experience for Luce and me, but I have learned to live through the pain.
Craig has been by my side all through it. I felt so grateful to have him in my life, even if we had gone beyond that but Craig will always be my best friend and I could never trade that for anything else. Turns out Craig had listened in to Adrian and mine's conversation, I didn't blame him, he is a wolf, and even if he didn't want to, he wouldn't be able to miss not listening to it.
As werewolves, our senses are heightened, and Craig isn't just any werewolf, he is a Beta, the voice of reason, but their anger is deadlier than even an alpha's wrath. Their anger is poisonous. To be truthful I was glad he listened, so he could understand my feelings without me having to explain myself to him.
