"You! Would you say that in front of everyone?" asked the knight with glimmering eyes that brought instant smirk on her face.
She had thought that it would be difficult to find the right man so she would not be able to save the girl on time. But who would have thought that she would find one so soon.
'Oh my, alex. You have so many enemies and people who hate you! But since you have helped me so much, I must repay you like this." with a look of worry in her eyes, she nodded her head and the man grinned like a fool.
He was a fool!
"Alright, then as a concerned fellow villager, I will take you to him. But you must repeat your words loudy in front of everyone. Only then you would be able to get justice!" like a kidnapper lure a child with a piece of chocolate, the man was trying to lure her.
Did he think she was a baby? Ha! Time will tell who is a fool here. But like an obedient kid, she nodded her head while a sly smile formed on her face.
"You are lucky, commoner that I have a spare horse." he patted the shoulders of Olivia with a smirk on his face as he took her towards his horses and soon they both set off to find Alex which was not a difficult task for the man.
Soon they stopped in front of a big building. The sound of clashing swords and sparring could be heard from afar.
The smell of weapons and blood was in the air as they walked in. It was this early morning and they had already started training when he had spent all day on a mission.
She was sure that he had not slept from the past two days just like her as they both were busy solving the problem and punishing the criminals.
Her eyes stared at everything like a keen child. Her hands itched to try her hands on those weapons. They looked too elegant and the men who were fighting with them.
"There he is! Now go and shout." the old knight nudged her as he pulled her hands and pointed at Alex with another hand.
Many turned to look at her after watching the commotion when ALex's eyes narrowed on both of them.
"Why are you here?" He could not believe that his luck was so bad. Not only were they not able to find that girl but this brat was not leaving them.
He was following them like a mad dog up to the limit of ever coming here.
"What do you want! I am not in a mood to entertain fools." His voice was pitch low with so much force that everyone could feel the pressure.
He was like a great mountain that was crushing every rock under its weight.
But instead of fearing, the man smiled. He was in doubt if the brat was telling the truth or not, but looking at the annoyed expressions of ever so calm Alex, he started to trust her words. And that was enough to bring a gloating smile on his face.
He placed a bit more pressure on the hands of Olivia as if signaling him to start speaking.
"I came here to meet you. I want to be part of your team.'' She did not have time to waste. Her eyes had already scanned the whole training area but did not find any glimpse of the girl.
Her stomach churn thinking about her condition. But looking at his cold and heartless face. She was sure that he was not going to accept her request.
"Ethan, throw all of them out." with a cold voice, he ordered when he turned to fight again.
Her existence meant nothing for him.
"Sigh! I did not understand why you are so adamant behind that cold man. He did not take his words back to the young boy. Now leave before my subordinates come and beat you.
I am a kind man but many of them have not forgotten about what you did last time." he explained as he patted Olivia's shoulders and asked him to leave.
Her eyes scanned the whole area and she noticed how everyone was looking at her with a death glare.
"Now, it was him again. Did he think that they were mere decorations?"
But even after learning of his threat, there was no fear on her face. On the contrary, she raised her brows and smiled deviously.
"What if i know about the girl you are looking for and only i would be able to take you to her?" Her words created an echo and the man who had announced the cold order and did not turn back to look at her snapped his head back to her.
Her eyes were sharper as if he was piercing her soul with his cold gaze.
"And you think that I would trust you??" he scoffed. She knew that he was looking for a woman and she thought that he would believe her.
"You have told me that her hair was dark but you never told me that her face had a brown shade and her eyes were brown too.
Her body was covered with a stain of blood and she had a long cut mark on her hands.
