Chereads / Crown Prince's Knight Is A Girl?! / Chapter 17 - Walk Into A Trap

Chapter 17 - Walk Into A Trap

"Since he already knows about our existence, we should sell all of them and fix the deal for the house. Staying at an inn is expensive." Ophelia did not know if it was a good idea or not but she agreed that after that event, the innkeepers are asking them thrice the prince, telling them it was risky to keep him.

But thanks to their attitude, they have come to know that they all were knights of the royal palace and the man whom they have saved must be their commander as only he could utilize them for personal agenda.

The head of the knights is a respected person so many doubt if he was a gay and was really looking for them for.!! Cough cough.

They needed their own house where they could change their appearance a bit and start another life.

"How about we change the town?" she asked as she did not understand why they were challenging such a strong man.

"We can not run from small troubles, they would be everywhere. It is time that we learn to handle them. Come let's try that jewel shop." Ophelia shook her head as she still did not understand why they needed to do it when they went to another city.

It could not be as simple as learning to handle troubles. She stared at the unknown lanes with a nostalgic look on her face.

How was the condition of her empire now?

"Ouch!"

"Hey, look where are you going?"

Both shouted at the same time when a man came running towards them and pushed Ophelia to pass through when there was enough space to go through.

The man instead of apologizing, glared at them while starting running again when they noticed a few men were following him.

"Thief thief!"

"Catch him, he had stolen a ring from the shop!"

But the men were far enough and had no chance of catching him but before he could run away, Olivia bent her long legs and the thief who was running, fell on the ground.

Olivia held her collar and sat on him to make sure that he could not move even a bit until the men caught up to him.

"Let me go you little brat!" shouted the man who was struggling to flip the boy off. He could not believe that such a lean man was heavy enough to hold him down.

"What if I don't! Tsk tsk!" Olivia checked her pockets and took out the ruby ring they were shouting for.

She was surprised to see that it was similar to the ring she had!

"Tsk! That commander was making a fuss about a cheap jewel that had so many copies in the market!"

"I said, let go of me." shouted the man when his eyes widened, "give me the ring back or master would never forgive you! He will send men to kill you. You did not know how strong he is." his eyes turned malicious as he started to threaten her when she nodded her head with a smirk on her face.

"That is right, I did not know how strong he is. So I do not care what he could do!" with a tint of arrogance the young boy (Olivia) ran a hand in his hair till the man caught up to them.

"Thank you for holding him. We will take care of him from here." The men held the thief from his shoulders when Olivia stood up and dragged him out from there.

"Are you not going to give them the ring?" Ophelia narrowed her eyes on her sister who was being too money minded these days, if it continued, she would lose all her morals and she could not let that happen.

"I will use that as leverage to gain more. Do not worry, I will return it to its rightful owner." under the stern gaze of Ophelia, Olivia shrugged her shoulders as she walked in the shop.

The guards looked at them suspiciously looking at their ragged and rough clothes as if they were thieves too.

"We are here to sell a few gemstones." once inside, Olivia took out the small box in which she had placed all the jewels and then took out the ring she had caught from the thief

"And this one is already yours, I suppose. I took it from the thief when I caught him. Your men are taking care of him now." relieved by finding the ring, the face of the girl brightened as she bowed her head and took her ring from their hands.

"Thank you, I will make sure that you are offered the best deal. Please wait here for a minute, I will call the mistress.`` She stood up as she waved her hands and another attendant came to attend them when she ran towards the stairs and disappeared from there.

"Do you want to sell all of them? These are precious jewels.`` The girl picked them and checked their authenticity and level as she rubbed them on a cloth.

"Yes, we want to sell all of them. I want to know what you are offering so that we can compare it from the other offer. We will only sell them if you would offer enough profit.'' With enough confidence on her face, Olivia pointed at the stones as she told the attendant the price she was expecting and being offered from the other shop while Ophelia was scanning the other jewels of the shop.

Growing up as princesses, they have bought all kinds of jewels and have enough knowledge of them with their prices, so there was not a hint of anxiety or greed in their eyes.

These jewels meant nothing if they would have been in their palace.

"I have to ask the master as the price you are asking is too much." The girl stood up to call someone when a lady in her early 40's walked towards them. She was looking like an elegant woman with her way of walking and a neutral smile on her face.

"Mistress!"

"Have they brought the ruby ring back?" the attendant nodded though she knew her mistress knew the answer already as she was looking at the pair with calculating eyes.

"Offer them the deal they want, do not negotiate. As they are my guests now."
