Minhyun hastily snatched the Prince as fast as he was able, his breath coming out in pants. YingXue could only allow it, as he stared at the Servant, worry curling around him as he attempted to assess whether he was alright, but Minhyun was ignoring his prying questions, instead seeming quite focused up on ensuring that they leave...right now. It confused him quite a bit the almost desperate ploy that the servant had going on for him.
"Minhyun, what is it?" He questioned softly, but the Servant merely shook his head.
"There is not time to really talk right now, My Lord, we will get into it later. For now, please just help me gather everything. Make sure you have a cloak ready. We don't have a lot of time to manage this, it will be a rough going." Jokull did as asked without question.
It had been some time, but he had learned to trust the other's word immensely, and he did trust MinHyun, he would just like to know what exactly was going on. He knew that he was not going to be informed anytime soon fo that though. It may be annoying, but he also was aware that there was someone who had just tried to kill him. Yinxue was lucky that he had on his circlet, because had he not...well he did not want to think of the potential liability. At all. That had been the only thing that had stayed the hand of whoever that person had been. He had been incredibly lucky, nothing more, and it terrified him to think.
He had no idea what Minhyun had planned, but surely it could not be worse than him almost getting maimed in his own bedroom. He had known that at some point, it was possible for him to get an assassin to try and kill him, but to have even them agree that he did not belong in the Palace? With the King? What was that about? As much as Yingxue attempted to figure out what was going on, it would seem he was merely stuck in a lost position.
He had known something was weird from the moment that he had woken, but with his memories sort of...not there, it was hard to pinpoint what it was that was weird. Yingxue also knew better than to ask, well...anyone. MinHyun had no idea, as he had come to the palace later than Yingxue, and anytime he did ask the servants that had been a part of the place prior to that-which was actively difficult considering a heafty majority of them had been relocated, killed, or simply fired outright-all he was given were dark looks, and whispers. Most of the rest of the servants avoided him like the plague, despite his attempts to befriend them, and the kind was he treated them. He had only to ask his father once to realize that was a bad idea, and never to try it again...
"Are you ready?" Minhyun asked breathlessly, to which all the Prince could do was nod slowly. "Good, we need to leave sooner rather than later." Yingxue furrowed his brows, confused. Leave? he thought. I don't understand. The pitiful reality was that he knew that Minhyun was not likely to inform him of anything until they were as far as possible from...well...where they were. He understood the caution, but at the same time he would admit that it sort of...irked him a bit. He wanted answers, and it was frustrated to realize that he would not obtain them. "Your cloak, does it cover your..." Minyhun gestured to his silver strands of hair. The Prince sighed, but nodded. "Good, it is not common in these parts." The Servant stated simply, as though the Prince was unaware of that.
I am aware, painfully. I look nothing like anyone, a freak...if one would say. The depressing thoughts were not knew. The Prince was painfully aware of his odd...problem. His eyes didn't fit, his hair didn't fit, even his powers were weird. Unnatural. He knew that, he definitely did not need his best friend and servant to remind him of the painful experiences. MinHyun seemed to realize it as the Prince merely put a finger to his temple, closing his eyes as he attempted to sway off the bad memories.
"My Lord," the young man sighed out but the Prince merely dismissed the apology before it could even truly begin.
"It is nothing," He said simply. "Besides it is not as though you are wrong." He was odd, and his entire...everything was just unnatural. He understood that, and though he may never truly make peace with it, he was not the sort of person to hold it against his best and only friend after the two of them were in haste. "Where are we going?"
"Away," Was all that Minhyun bothered to state, leaving the Prince to become more annoyed than anything else. Do I not deserve an explanation? The thought pounded about his head.
"MinHyun, please, what is..."
"Enough," The servant seemed uncharacteristically stern, and the Prince silenced himself. He had never really had the heart to go against MinHyun, and he was not the sort of person who had that sense of...of...unending Authority. His father did, but he...he did not. Yet another failure according to his eyes. Though YingXue could not help but think that perhaps if he had gotten to understand their people, and...Stop it. He scolded himself. No matter what I would do, it would never be enough for Father. It was something he had long had to learn. A painful, cruel lesson, but a lesson nonetheless. It hurt to know that his father would never care for him, but he supposed that was simply the way it was. He preferred not to dwell on the depressing thought. It was painful enough without endlessly thinking it over.
"Let's go, quickly, and make sure to stay quiet." Minhyun stated, pulling the young Prince through the servant's quarters. MinHyun was rather knowledgeable of the castle and it's corridors, something which most servants were. Yet, despite it all, there was nobody about, even in the Servants wings. It made something uncomfortable rise in YingXue's stomach. He did not like the look of this at all.
There was always someone around, all of the time. Whilst YingXue's wing was off limits to most servants and guests, there were still some servants who would go through these area to reah the upper levels or the East Wing of the castle. There was usually at least one person, and if there happened to not one could still hear the goings on outside the thin walls of the corridor. It was not as though the servants routes had tons of money spent upon them. The walls were far thinner than in other areas of the castle.
Yet there was nothing. There were no people, no hasty walking outside the corridor. In fact, now that he bothered to pay attention, there was not even alarm bells to signal an intruder. Yingxue had a hard time believing that someone managed to get past everyone so effortlessly that they had not even been slightly detected. Then again, by the time Minhyun had snatched my arm that person was gone. Who knows where they went. It was possible, maybe...if it was them.
Minhyun did not seem all that surprised about the lack of people, and if he was he did not comment on it or make it known to Yingxue, hastily pulling Yingxue through the empty halls at a rather swift pace. The servant continued to drag the Prince at an effortless pace for him, yet the Prince, slightly younger and smaller, had a bit more difficulty. It also did not help that he was still jittery, fingers shaking and he could practically feel the press of the metal against his throat even still.
When they finally came to an enclave, it was barred. The Prince did not really know what Minhyun was thinking but in less than moments the Servant had used his powers to get a nearby tree to rend the metal away. "You have gotten better," The Prince whispered in awe, but he was not gifted a response, Minhyun just grabbed his arm and continued to drag him through it.
"Say nothing, My Lord," The servant said simply, as they rushed through the evergreens, the Prince still horribly confused, but also somewhat giddy.
He did not really know why it was that he was being forcefully drug out of the castle, but he was also not about to complain, as he had his own thoughts...and they did not exactly come up to a nice conclusion.
