Another long day began in the Royal Capital and the whole world except the peak of Babylon mountain, the highest mountain in the world that almost touches space
The Babylon mountain is rumored to be the birthplace of the angels that once upon a time roamed the earth freely
But that's beside the point...
It was a nice day at the Royal Capital and an even nicer day for the grand Jack, Tokkou was relaxing in his regular tea shop and drank some premium quality tea
'I swear I didn't find Teras!' Tokkou thought
"Nah that sounds too fake, plus if I wanted to find someone like Teras I would have easily done so, so there is no excuse for me not wanting to bring him here..." Tokkou thought out loud
"What's bothering you, kid? Did you finally come across something beyond your handling?" The tea shop owner asked Tokkou
"Like there is anything I can't handle! I'm just thinking about something..." Tokkou said as he took a big sip of his tea
"Can a person like me ask the great Jack what is bothering him?" The owner asked
"It's a government secret, maybe I will hear your advice next time!" Tokkou said before drinking the whole cup of tea in a blink
"Amazing tea!" He said before flying away with something way too important in his pocket
'Now I will pay a visit to my most favorite kingdom!' Tokkou thought as he gripped the 6th card (Fire mastery) in his hand
…
THE SPADE KINGDOM
It's a place with a lot of heat in the summer and deadly cold in the winter, It's also the place where the highest rate of demons are occupying it, or in other words this is their home but it's also the home to many dangerous monsters so many people tend to avoid this kingdom unless there is an event hosted there or they have a job there, but for the Grand Jack nothing is a challenge
Upon arrival, Tokkou landed near the capital of the kingdom, where humans aren't so hated due to the fact many humans live there or visit it in case they are adventurers
"Long time no see sir!" Surprisingly it was the king of Spades
Many kings tend to stay inside their castles and rule from there but the king of Spades does things differently, he prefers to stay close to his community, after all, he was a peasant before becoming a king so most of his friends and loved ones are not in the best state
"Oh good to see you too! How are things going on here?" Tokkou asked the king in a casual tone
The king was demon too, he had big red horns and pitch black hair, he also had golden eyes and black skin
"Thank god we are doing fine! I don't know the reason you came here but you are not very welcome! Some friends of mine told me what you did to their protest" The king said with a still somewhat positive look on his face
"You know I have to follow some rules too I'm not a king after all! Jokes aside, how is it going with what the high king asked you?" Tokkou asked as his playful tone swapped into a more serious
"That? I have announced it but a fighter who is more likely to win is refusing to participate, maybe you can have a talk with him?" The king suggested
"Your son hasn't gotten used to all the hate from the other kingdoms huh?"
It was a rhetorical question, The king's son is known to be a very strong but a stubborn kid, well you can't call him kid anymore, he is 21 now
Tokkou didn't take long to find him since he knew where he would be
"It seems like you really like the arena right Ignis? Every time I have seen you you are inside one fighting whoever!" Tokkou said with a smile as he flew down to the arena
"Grand Jack? What brings you here, came to fight me?" Ignis asked with an excited smile on his face
Ignis was a dark-skinned boy with dark red hair and big red horns, his eyes were golden, he closely resembled his father, but the look on his eyes was different, way different
"No, but I want YOU to fight people for the price of this!" Tokkou said as he showed the 6th card to Ignis
"Is this?"
Ignis was very surprised to see the card, it was his first time seeing one, the other people around Ignis were also beyond shocked
A card holds a tremendous amount of mana inside it so people around it could easily sense that this was something powerful even if they haven't seen a card before
"So what do you say? Your father announced a tournament of power with a mystery prize! Guess what was it? Well after seeing this I guess you already know what it is..." Tokkou said as he thought about it a little
"Wait so you are telling me if I win I will become a C-card possessor?"
"Dope right?" Tokkou answered with a goofy smile
Ignis took a step back and thought about the situation a bit, while the others were hyped and happy Ignis looked distant and scared
"What's the reason behind this? The royal capital has hated us for as long as I can remember so doing this out of the blue is quite irregular and suspicious, your motives are evil..." Ignis said as he glared at Tokkou
"I see you got the sharp eye from your father! Yes of course there is a reason we do this but it's not bad by any means, it is a way to weaken the defense on the tower that holds all our cards and also help your community, you see by giving your kind a card we can introduce demons to the world as saviors and great fighters rather than evil beings!" Tokkou explained as he put the card back into his pocket
"In reality you do this because you want the rebellions to stop?"
Ignis still suspected Tokkou and this time he was right, he saw through Tokkou's lie
"I guess you are not a kid anymore, are you? So what do you say? You are a diamond adventurer, which means you are the perfect candidate to receive this card, not a single person here can match you, no offense guys!" Tokkou said with a smile to Ignis's friends
"What stops me from taking it from you right now? There no reason for people to get hurt because as you know, the Spade kingdom doesn't hosts tournament that causes no harm to the participants like your kingdom, People are going to get severely hurt or even die" Ignis said with a hostile tone
"What stops you is the Grand Jack, and the reason we have to host a tournament is that you may not be as strong as you think you are" Tokkou said as he winked his eye
Tokkou then flew away from the arena and visited the place where the king usually rests, It was a bar by the name of "Thronus Regis" this was the language of demons. He wanted to discuss about the tournament and make it official
In this world, there are three languages, one that everyone uses, demon language which is spoken by demons and slightly by elves and lastly, the heavenly language, the language of angels which is lost throughout history, only some experts and angels know of it
…
"That's amazing! You know every language? Even the language of angels? I guess that's why they call you the fallen angel!"
---
"What, you don't like it? That's a cool nickname, mine is just "Scorpius" It doesn't sound as cool as yours"
---
"I know that is just my name in demon language but still... I wanted something like yours and who knows? Maybe someday they will even let me name a star like all the great fighters! Currently, we haven't named 7 stars, it's the stars which you like to stare at for so long"
---
"Yeah, that's true! You like to stare at the moon a lot too, but I couldn't blame you since it's the home of angels... Have I told you my dream?"
---
"My dream is one day to set foot on the moon and speak with an angel or even see the game master! But that's just a dream"
---
"I know I should have big dreams but that dream is beyond us..."
---
"You think? Then that's a promise! When we become legends we will see each other on the moon! Promise?"
…
"Promise!" Teras said as tears fell down his face
"Promise? Did you have a dream again?" Enyo asked with an annoyed look
For some reason, she was in tears too
"Do you want me to cut the onions? Your eyes are far too sensitive" Teras asked
"Shut up kid! Some onions aren't going to put me down! Not me!" She said as she started cutting the onions more intensively
'Promise... What promise was I supposed to keep? A promise is something that never dies but who did I make this promise with?' Teras wondered as he did his morning training
'My body... I can barely move any muscle, it's like the first time I used mana overflow...' Teras thought as he kept swinging his swords around trying multiple new tricks
After training as hard as he could Teras decided to pay a visit to Droe, It had been a long since he had talked with him and he kind of missed him
"How is your recovery going? I'm really sad that I made you lose back there" Droe said as he was carrying the wood he had cut
"It's okay, if I won him this time then that means I can win him whenever I want, and probably I will attempt to fight him the last day, since I have to recover..." Teras said as he thought of the fight he had with Pecus
'I only won because I used this black aura unwillingly but Pecus on the other hand also activated something like a power spike that he never used before so I guess we are still on the same page?' Teras thought as he walked with Droe
"You see my son is still angry at me for doing this so do you think you can convince him to forgive me?" Droe asked with a smile
"In some days my work with you will be over and I may leave this place"
"Why are you telling me that?" Droe asked as he looked at Teras with concern
"I don't want him to get too attached to me so you better befriend him yourself and also encourage him to do something or find some quality friends" Teras said as he kept looking forward
"We both know you are going to leave someday so don't worry! Many good people come and go, this is how the world works, what I'm more concerned about is what are you going to do when you leave this place!"
"I will become strong enough so I can find out about my past without hurting others in the process" Teras replied
"That's not what you told Enyo though! You said you are going to save everyone from their pain. When Enyo told your goal to me and my son, my son looked very inspired and also told me he wants to join the royal knights so he can help people, see your goals don't only effect you but the others around you too!" Droe said with a smile
"I'm sure Tom will become an amazing knight..." Teras said as he stopped walking
At that moment Teras thought seriously about what he would become and if he wanted to leave this place yet, It was too early to decide but he still thought deeply about it for a couple of minutes before Droe spoke to him
"What the hell man! I thought you were following me but you stopped entirely? What happened?" Droe yelled angrily
"It's nothing!" Teras said brushing off his actions as something worthless
Teras and Droe then visited Tom outside his house, he was training at the time to become a knight, Droe teased him and Teras helped him train, while on the other side of the world, Tokkou was discussing an important historical event that was about to happen in the land of the rising sun
Each individual struggles with unique challenges, which hold equal subjective significance but may differ significantly from an objective standpoint
Meaning one worries about the fate of the world
While the other about the fate of his world
With no telling which problem is the "bigger" one
