It was a lovely but cold day in the Royal Capital, the streets were less populated than normal and many shops weren't open since the snow covered the streets which were slowly melting from the sun
Two people were standing on top of a house's roof
"You seem gloomy, what's wrong?" A blue-haired man asked
"Look I told you many times, the Joker finally showed signs, the guy you put your lives on the line to defeat has come back and already attacked a small village, killing everyone that stood there..." Tokkou said with a distressed look on his face
"The Joker must be very weakened after the last time we fought him, we damaged many of his vital organs and limbs so even if he came back he would be in a state where just me and you would be enough to take him out, and I'm telling you that because I don't want to go over the line and say you could probably beat him alone" The man said as he cleaned his sword
Rigel, the 4th card possessor or The Blue Death
"Enyo's message must have reached the king by now, so I will go and report what I saw myself" Tokkou said as he got ready to fly away
"It seems like you are not telling me everything..." Rigel said as he glared into Tokkou's purple eyes
"I'm sorry master, some kid I knew was there and fought the Joker alone and managed to survive"
Rigel seemed very surprised to hear that
"Did this kid fight him head-on or simply ran away?" Rigel asked as he finally cleaned his sword
"He told me he fought the Joker and also managed to cut one of his arms"
"Hahahaha!"
Rigel laughed loudly
"Then that kid you know may be a very talented fighter, you have to introduce him to me someday!" Rigel said before jumping off the roof
Rigel then waved off Tokkou and started to walk away
'I swear this guy is the weirdest person I know' Tokkou thought before quickly flying to the center of the capital
The one and only Grand Throne Room, the place where even the commoners can enter if they are invited by the king, unlike the last time when they met in the King's house
Upon arrival guard who had great training opened the massive door to reveal the throne room
On the right side of the building, they were marble mixed with gold statues, and on the left side they were many high-quality paintings from the past on top of the building there was a giant glass roof, and across Tokkou there was the massive throne made out of a Mana Tree which had a skeleton crucified on top of it with a huge banner saying
King Midas was sitting on the throne waiting for Tokkou to arrive
"Sorry for taking so much time to report this problem but I had some trouble coming back to the capital, so I assume you know about the Joker's appearance right?" Tokkou asked as he lit up a cigarette
"Enyo sent me a letter and I have to say not to worry much, if Enyo is near the area he was seen then she can probably deal with him easily, I mostly worry about Enyo's report..." The king said as he stood up
"What?" Tokkou asked confused
"She told me a boy fought him and survived which is an unrealistic scenario since the Joker is not only a card user, but possesses the strongest card of all, no matter how damaged the Joker was no kid could stand a chance unless they were a card possessor which is unlikely since all of our stored cards aren't missing and the other card possessors showed themselves not long before, so what can explain this anomaly?" Midas asked as he slowly started walking toward Tokkou
"You mean Teras, right? He was the kid I wanted to tell you about the last time we met but I thought he had nothing to do with the Joker and he didn't since he fought him..." Tokkou said as he put out his cigarette
Tokkou tried to think about what the king was saying
"Teras? That's a weird name..." The king said
"Of course it is! Because it is a word from the language only the angels speak" The queen said as she suddenly appeared from the left side of the room
"Oh, I didn't sense you there my majesty! What does the word mean?" Tokkou asked
"Monster, that's what Teras means"
The definition of the word made Tokkou and the king a bit concerned
"Tokkou is the kid you met a..." The kind said before getting interrupted
"No he isn't an angel, if he was I would have noticed, but his mana control..." Tokkou refused the allegation but couldn't prove it wrong so he once again thought hard about what was happening
"How about you bring Te... The kid here Tokkou?" Angels have a very short-termed memory so they forget many things quickly, only major events stick with them
"I will try to convince him but why do you want me to bring him here?" Tokkou asked
"Because that's an order from the High Queen!" Haniella said with a cold voice

Meanwhile, back in the forest Teras was training with his dagger
'Come on! The Joker used this thing too many times and if it hit us even once we would have died! If I learn to control that then I will be able to win against Pecus!' Teras thought as he tried to imitate the attack the Joker created back when they fought
The attack he practiced was the air bullet which was able to destroy multiple trees on impact with a very destructive after effect
"What are you doing?" Tom asked as he was swinging back and forth on a tree branch
"I'm practicing an attack that I can't perform!" Teras madly answered as he got into the same stance as Joker and continuously stabbed the air while charging the sword with mana but nothing happened, only a slight wave of air was created
"That's the first time I see you struggle with something! It's quite surprising!" Tom said as he closely watched Teras
"Well yeah, I'm human too!" Teras said as he continued with his unsuccessful tries
"What are you trying to create?" Tom asked
"An air bullet! I tried everything! I even tried the thing I do with the explosives but it's useless no matter what I do I find myself on a dead end!" Teras said as he fell on his back
He was sweating and his body was exhausted from not eating too much and from the training
"If it is a bullet then couldn't you try to mimic like, a bow? Like charge it and then poof! And it will hit the other like bam, probably"
Tom talked way too confusing but what he said enlightened Teras
'That's right! Charge it and then throw it like an arrow shooting off a bow! Why didn't I think about it?' Teras wondered as he quickly got up
He then got into the stance Joker had and tried doing what Tom said
'Charge it, and hold it!' Teras thought as he charged the dagger
"I feel it!" Teras said as his dagger started shaking
'Now focus it on the handle and explosively shoot it out of the tip of the dagger!' He thought before doing exactly that
Surprisingly an air bullet flew through the air and hit a slim tree, breaking it and making a bomb-like sound after hitting it
Teras turned his head to Tom, they both stared at each other for a moment
"LET'S GO!!!" Teras said as he grabbed Tom and threw him in the air
"WE DID IT!!!" Tom said as Teras kept on throwing
"What are you two doing?" Enyo wondered as he saw them happily celebrate
She was surprised to see Teras smile out of happiness once again
"Enyo look at that!" Teras said before firing an air bullet again
"Okay?" Enyo said unimpressed
"What do you mean "Okay" if this technique is mastered it can easily destroy huge trees or even the mountain near the village!" Teras said with a mad look on his face
"No matter how strong an attack is it doesn't mean anything unless it lands right?" Enyo asked
Teras and Tom nodded
"But that's truly a good achievement, but what I'm more interested in is your black aura, I mean that's what you used to fight HIM right?" Enyo said
"Him? Oh you mean the Jo..." Before Teras could finish Enyo covered his mouth
"Yeah him!" Enyo said while signaling with her eyes for Teras to shut up
"Anyway about your attack, it's a good step toward growth but you have to try harder than that!" Enyo said as she started walking away
"I think you are a bit too harsh on your pupil, is it because you are afraid of him?" Pecus said as he came out of nowhere
"Afraid of him? Why would I be scared of my student?" Enyo asked as she laughed
"Come on! Don't lie! He just has these eyes, the eyes that hide something more behind them! I'm not the brightest person out there but I can tell that!" Pecus said as he stared at the abyss inside Teras's eyes
Enyo also looked into Teras's eyes and thought about his growth, even if she doesn't want to admit it to his face Teras is growing at a rapid rate, a rate that may become troubling in the future if Teras doesn't follow the right path
"No matter what happens I know Teras will become something greater than I ever was and I don't fear about his future! Because I know he will have a much brighter future than a killer and a criminal like us!" Enyo said with a smile on her face
"You know damn well why I became a criminal Enyo, I had no desire to kill but this world made me this way, I remember the days when I fought against evil and swore to destroy it but now look at me! Anything can happen..." Pecus said with a somewhat sad expression on his face
It was clear that his life wasn't the easiest or the most peaceful
"You know what's the reason I came here Teras? And not the fake reason I gave you once, all this crap about a peaceful life, the so-called Grand and peaceful kingdom took my daughter away from me due to the fact that she is mixed, half-devil and half-beastman, two of the most pathetic races according to the world and the reason they took her was to sell her as a slave, and you know what happens to female slaves right?" Pecus said with a sad look in his eyes
After saying all that he fell to his knees and tears started flowing down his face
"She was so young when they took her from me, she doesn't deserve this..."
Seeing the man he is trying to defeat cry made Teras feel lost
'What's the reason we are fighting each other again?' Teras wondered as he saw Pecus crying
"I will win and take my daughter back, neither you nor Enyo will be able to hold me from seeing my daughter!" Pecus said as he clenched his fists
Teras slowly face Enyo when he heard that
"Enyo we truly are the bad guys, huh?"
"That's right, you and I are the trashiest people on this land, are you willing to continue living like that when you know everything?"
"I don't have to win against you Pecus, I can surrender and you can peacefully save your daughter!"
As soon as Teras said that Enyo started busting out laughing
"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!" Teras said as he pointed his dagger at Enyo's throat
"You sure have a nice way to convince the others Pecus! You talk like you weren't responsible for slaughtering a whole village before the government took your daughter away!"
"What you are saying isn't undoing the fact that they enslaved his daughter! She was just a kid" Teras responded to her as he pushed the dagger into her throat without piercing her skin
"Kid? She was a teenager and the enslavement she fell victim to was basically an orphanage, you should stop believing everything someone is telling you Teras, it's no good" Enyo said as she pushed Teras away
"I don't care what you call it! You people took her away from me and I will find her no matter how much I have to search!" Pecus said as he glared at Enyo
"She probably doesn't want to see you after what you did, slaughtering a whole village because of a bullying problem that could have been solved by talking? You acted more childish than her so you have no right to be close to her, you will simply make her life a tiny bit more painful!" Enyo exclaimed with a mad look in her eyes
"I WILL KILL YOU!" Pecus yelled as he charged toward Enyo
Teras stopped him by clashing swords with him
"Stop Pecus!" Teras said
"Out of my way kid!" He said as he grabbed Teras's sword and threw him away
"Don't you dare teleport away from me!" Pecus said as he raised his sword at Enyo
But before he could do something a blue sphere appeared in front of him
'What is this?' He wondered before the sphere exploded
Pecus was startled by the explosion and quite dizzy, suddenly he was launched away from a kick to the head
"Enyo make sure Tom doesn't get hurt! I will try to cool this guy down!"
Teras looked quite conflicted doing this but he knew both parties were in the wrong and in their own respective truth so the least he could do was to stop the moment from escalating...
