A boy ran through a burning forest, the boy had those tearful red eyes, eyes like the color of the water and the sky, this crimson red color surrounded the whole atmosphere, something was chasing this boy, that something was a group of humans, humans with wings, they also had red eyes, but those eyes were glowing and showed a hostile emotion, all of them screamed one word over and over again

"TERAS! TERAS! TERAAAAAS!!!"

The boy was hurt but he gave his all to avoid being caught by them, he didn't know why this was happening to him...

He ran and ran until something weird happened, he saw a light penetrate his chest

The boy was violently coughing blood as he slowly lost some speed

'Jump!' He thought as he look down, apparently he was running on a cliff that was so high that he saw the trees on the ground and thought they were ants

And without hesitation he jumped, well it was more like his body forced him to do that, after losing so much blood death was the only option left...

As soon as the boy was penetrated a loud Trumpet was heard all around the world

It was to this fading sound of the trumpet that the boy woke up to

That's how everything began, it started on a quiet night, in the middle of nowhere, a spark ignited, the boy opened his tearful eyes, and all he could see was darkness

At first, he was confused, but he quickly discovered that his limbs were immobilized by the roots of a dead tree, a massive tree at that

"Where am I?" He mumbled to himself as he tried to see what was happening

Even though he was unconscious his eyes had a hard time seeing in the dark, but when some time passed he was easily able to see

"How did this happen? Why am I here?" The boy tried to recall but every time he tried to do that a sharp pain on the back of his head interrupted him

"I have to get out of here, that's for sure!" The boy thought as he moved around in hopes to break the rotten roots

It was hard to do at first but after some tries to free himself the roots on his hands broke, resulting in him falling so he used his hands so he didn't hit the floor, to his surprise the ground was wet, it was warm water that warmed up his already hot body

The boy then used his hands to brake the roots surrounding his legs and started walking, he wanted to get out of the this tree

At first, he searched around the tree but it was built like a maze, plus the fact that it was dark also made it hard to escape this maze

So the boy thought outside the box, he simply started punching through the weak wood until he saw light, once he saw a glimpse of light he started to manically punch

The boy was finally outside, the beautiful moonlight lit up his clean face, and the moonlight also made his red eyes shine

"I'm in the middle of nowhere..." He thought as he looked around

The boy's stomach started to growl, so in an attempt to find something eatable he carefully searched in the big forest that surrounded the whole area

"There is no way this place has nothing to eat..." The boy said out loud, he had searched for a long time but he didn't find anything

But when it seemed impossible to find something the boy found a bush with blue fruits

He lashed at them like a wild animal and ate many of them with at least two bites (they were the size of a small apple)

"What the hell is this taste?" He thought out loud as he was overpowered by the taste of the fruit, he wanted to spit it out since he didn't like it but it was his only source of food so he made sure to swallow it

'At least I won't die' He thought as he devoured more and more fruits

Fancy for him to think that...

The boy had no direction and nothing in this maze of a forest indicated where he could go so all he did was to follow his gut feeling like an animal would normally do at a moment such as this one

While walking he found himself in a weird place a little similar to that one he was, well there were no similarities except the massive tree which had a creepy swarm of butterflies flying around a rather big cocoon that looked like a person

There were exactly 43 crimson butterflies flying around the cocoon

Suddenly the cocoon started to shake violently before opening to reveal only one more butterfly, the butterfly was falling but before it hit the ground opened its wings and flew up to the boy's nose to rest on it 

The boy looked through its wings and saw himself bathed in blood surrounded by bodies and a black aura, he was also surrounded by shadow people that wanted to take his life, one had pointy nails, the other had wings, and another had a sword

The boy got scared but before he could touch the butterfly the insect flew away with its family and left the boy alone

There were now 44 crimson butterflies around the world, ready to feast on blood

Understandably scared the boy started to run away from this tree, unable to see where he was going he eventually crushed into a tree

'Damn it... My nose is bleeding...' The boy thought as he held his nose

Suddenly he heard something move from inside some bushes, the boy immediately raised his guard

Turns out it was a lone wolf, it was damaged by an arrow and it was acting like a beast, foam was coming out of its mouth too

When the wolf saw the kid it charged at him mindlessly, the boy used his left hand as a shield, and the wolf bit his arm and tried to chop it off, the boy fell down and started kicking the wolf with both of his legs as he punched its head, it was futile...

'I won't die like this!' He thought as he took the arrow from the wolf's body, the boy then started to stub the wolf's head over and over again, until he felt that the bite was getting weaker and weaker, and eventually being able to free himself

"What?" He wondered out loud

The wolf's body had a massive hole, that's the reason it died, not because of the arrow's stabs

"A lone wolf... This kind of animal is often the overthrown alpha wolf from a pack, but because its pride is over its head it wanders alone attacking everything and anyone with no thought of what is about to come next, they would even try to bite the hand that feeds them, truly a sad animal don't you think kid?"

A man dressed in a long coat said, he had bright purple eyes and dark purple hair, also wore glasses, and had a cigarette, a high-class cigarette, you could tell because of its gold warped filter

But there was a problem, this man had an ominous dark aura surrounding him, an aura that drove away the boy

"Who are you?" The boy yelled as he pointed the arrow toward the man

"Calm down kid! My name is Tokkou! Nice to meet you, but it's weird meeting someone here... This place is quite dangerous you know!" Tokkou said as he took off his hood revealing his purple hair

"Why are you here?" the boy asked while being on high alert

"Why? Why should I tell you? I could ask you the same and I doubt that you would answer! Anyway, I don't recognize your face so you probably aren't one of my fighters! So how did you even end up here? Not that it matters now... You appear to be bleeding badly!" Tokkou said as he stared at the boy's wounds

"What? Oh, yeah! That wolf caught me by surprise but I will be alright, won't I?" The boy said worried

Tokkou sighed before emitting a green light from his hand "I don't understand anything but I can tell you are harmless, since I have to look for a troublesome fella take these and be careful, trust nobody you see!" Tokkou said as he gave a weird looking blade to the boy and some coins

The green light felt warm and comfortable, the boy's wound also started to close

'This is magic... How can he?' The boy wondered 

"Wait I'm confused, I don't know how I ended up here! Giving me this sword won't help either I don't know how to fight..." The boy said as he stopped the man from leaving

"This certainly makes things much harder... Well we can't do anything else but this now so try your hardest to be safe uhm... What's your name kid?" Tokkou asked confused after he sighed once again

The boy felt an overwhelming pressure on his chest, he didn't know what to say since he was unaware of his name, he simply couldn't remember it so in desperation for help he said the one word he remembered

"My name is Teras!"

"Teras huh? What a weird name! I haven't heard it before, just from your red I can assume you are from the Spade Kingdom, but then again I don't see any horns..." Tokkou said puzzled

Tokkou's words confused Teras

"Probably not..."

"What do you mean "Probably not"? Did your parents raise you inside a cave? Judging by what you are wearing that must be the case" Tokkou replied annoyed, he also commented on Teras's beat up clothes, they were essentially rugs 

"I honestly don't know, I can't remember, that's why I'm asking you for help! I can't do anything right now..." Teras said with a sad look on his face

Seeing that Tokkou placed his arm on the boy's shoulder and smiled

"You will be alright kid, and even if you get in trouble don't worry, just yell out my name!"

Tokkou's words calmed Teras down, his thoughts were more collected than before

Teras grabbed the sword Tokkou gave him and said

"I will. Thank you Tokkou!" Teras said with a smile on his face, a smile equal to Tokkou's smile

"Remember! Trust nobody and avoid any interactions until you reach a town, that's all you can do to stay alive!" Tokkou said as he started to levitate 

In a flash Tokkou flew away. Teras couldn't do anything but keep going, after all if it wasn't for that stranger he would have been dead

'With this I can manage, I just have to find a town' Teras thought as he ran

'His eyes were filled with emotion and just by looking at them, I can tell that his kid has gone through a lot! That's why I will help him get back to his feet, memory loss is caused by trauma, I can tell that he is traumatized because he has the same eyes as me. Eyes that were full of pain' Tokkou thought as the night's breeze hit his face

Teras ran for a long time looking around for anything, and he was holding the sword gifted to him hard

He swore to stop at nothing but something in the distance made him change his mind

It was a man, a big man at that, he had wide arms and body, he was like a giant, 3 meters tall and wide limbs and body, this giant had shackles around his arms

"Who are you?" The giant man asked Teras

"I'm just going into town! What do you want?" Teras asked the man, he was suspicious of him

"I'm Potinko! I was simply leaving this town" The man said as he tried to catch his breath

Teras was sure he was lying judging by the shackles on his arms and the many bruises and cuts he had

'Tokkou must mean him when he said I wasn't one of his fighters!' Teras thought as he was ready to fight with his sword any time

"You are an adventurer, aren't you? Can you help me? If you have a spare weapon can you please give it to me?" The man asked as he slowly approached Teras

"GET BACK!" Teras yelled as he pointed his sword at the man

"Hah... AHAHAHAHAHA" Potinko laughed loudly "Do you think that a little shit like you can order me around? COME HERE AND DIE LIKE A GOOD KID!" Potinko said as he charged at Teras

Instinctively Teras jumped away from an upcoming punch from Potinko, this punch cracked the ground

"You are one of those huh?" Potinko asked as he giggled "FACE ME LIKE A REAL MAN!" Potinko yelled as he once again charged at Teras

This time Teras barely dodged Potinko's attack resulting in his attack landing on a tree behind Teras, this attack made Potinko's hand get stuck inside the tree

Teras took advantage of this and tried to cut his stuck arm but it didn't go as he thought it would go, the sword sure cut through the flesh of Potinko but it didn't go deep enough to cut the bone

Suddenly Teras was launched away by a punch from the free hand of Potinko, leaving the sword stuck on Potinko's arm

"You lucky bastard! You dare hurt someone like me?" Potinko said as he freed his hand, he then took the sword out of his hand and got ready to attack the empty-handed Teras

"TOK-" Teras tried to scream for Tokkou but the damage on his sides made it impossible to yell

Feeling helpless Teras tried to do anything to help himself but then he remembered that he kept the arrow that was inside the wolf inside his beat-up clothes so he took it out and got ready to defend against the upcoming attack

"Oh, man! As the game goes on you get funnier and funnier!" Potinko said as he mocked Teras's weapon by laughing

Potinko then tried to cut Teras in half but Teras ducked under the attack and tried to go through Potinko's legs, Potinko noticed that so when Teras was behind him he kicked him in the back of his head

Teras was launched back and fell after the attack

"How did you like that brat?" Potinko said with a smile

Teras slowly got up and touched the back of his head, his hand became full of blood

When Teras saw this blood his mind went blank

"I'm right here kid! Don't ignore me unless you want to die!" Potinko said as he rushed at Teras, Teras had his back turned against Potinko so he was in a dangerous situation

But something strange happened

When Potinko tried to slice Teras once again he suddenly jumped toward Potinko's head, his body rotated weirdly and made his body face the ground while he got higher from Potinko, Teras then grabbed the arrow with two hands and raised his hands and when he got closer he pierced Potinko's head with the arrow

Teras then was unable to land properly so he fell down hurting himself a bit

"Wha- You..." Potinko mumbled words as he tried to stay alive, but it was futile, his body collapsed and he fell with his face hitting the ground and the arrow properly killing him

Teras was shocked, he killed a man...

Teras threw up at the sight of Potinko's lifeless body

"I have to leave..." He thought as he started running toward the town, but before he left he took the sword with him

He was able to tell where to go since he could see the lights of the town, so he followed the lights ignoring everything that happened in this forest

Eventually, the ground was no more grass but a well-built rocky wall

'Now what do I do?' Teras thought as he stared at the big town he was in...
