After the green light came out of Becka's hands the wounds the bunny had slowly started to close but the bunny remained unconscious
"Take it inside and tell a maid to put it in your room!" Becka said annoyed
"My room?" Teras asked confused
"I assume Master forgot to mention to you that but since you will be training you need to stay and eat here, I was not supporting his choice but Master insisted and I can't do anything about that"
Teras gave the bunny to a maid and then quickly ran to the backyard
As soon as Becka saw him she then started to walk further into the garden, Teras followed her
Both of them stopped a bit far from the mansion, they needed silence, learning the basics of mana can be hard for people or even near impossible if they are surrounded by distracting sounds
"Mana! You have heard about it but you have no idea what it is, no worries kid! I will now enlighten you!" Becka said as she did a silly pose with her hands
"Mana is like a river, or more like your blood, mana flows inside you like your blood, everyone has mana inside of them, even objects, the problem is that many people don't know how to manipulate their mana to their advantage. The key? What makes someone talented at using mana is the way they visualize it! Master and I have this idea we use to make mana easier to move around our body and I'm sure many use the same idea"
Becka said as she activated her mana flow, Teras could see a faint color coming out of her
"Why don't you give it a try?" Becka asked
"You realize you didn't teach me anything yet right?" Teras told her
"Oh okay, I didn't think you are unable to catch up to a simple explanation. Try to think that a blue essence is coming out of your body every time your heart beats, these blue essences are running through your blood, try to stabilize them by stopping them and then try to spread them to your whole body, the key thing is imagination so you have to imagine they stop for them to actually stop"
Becka's explanation made a little bit more sense so right at this moment Teras tried to do what he was asked to do and to his surprise, he caught up to that quickly
"I can kind of control it, can't I?" Teras asked with a smile as he looked at Becka
Becka looked surprised
"I haven't seen somebody control their mana flow that quick, now try to move a bit..." Becka said as she closely inspected Teras
But to nobody's surprise, Teras couldn't move his body, by controlling his mana flow he was unable to move due to the fact he wasn't used at that, his body wasn't used to control mana and walk
"Well that isn't surprising, most people can't do that at first, you would be a prodigy if you could, anyway, what do you say? Can you hold your mana flow for an hour?" Becka asked with a smile
"WHAT? IF I DO THAT FOR AN HOUR I WILL BREAK!" Teras yelled as he barely managed to keep his mana flow
"Too bad, then you can kiss your training goodbye!" Becka said as she started walking away
Suddenly a hand stopped her from moving, Teras grabbed her shoulder while still holding his mana flow
"What?" Becka mumbled as she saw that
'How the hell can he move so quickly after maintaining his mana flow, is he actually a prodigy, maybe that's why master brought him here, that would explain all this, also his eye color may be a factor...' Becka thought as she watched the red eyes of Teras shine with D E T E R M I N A T I O N
"I thought it was impossible for me to walk!" Teras said with a cocky smile
"You are not ready for step two but I will tell you nonetheless. If you time an attack right with your mana then you could enhance your attack, for example, if I punch something and gather mana into my hand and right before the impact I "release" my mana then I could end up hurting someone more than if I didn't do that, want me to demonstrate?" Becka asked
"Sure thing..."
Becka then raised her hand and a pillar made out of dirt raised
'What?' Teras thought as he watched this, he was sure that Becka did that
Becka then punched the pillar
"See? Nothing happened even though I punched it at full strength!" Becka said as she rubbed her fist, hitting it made her hand hurt a bit
"Now pay attention to this!" Becka said as she punched the pillar, this time she broke it
"Right before I made contact with the pillar I allowed my mana to "fly" off my hand and right into the pillar damaging it more, now you can't go in if you don't do that..."
Becka said as she created a dirt cell around Teras trapping him inside
"Hey, what the hell did you do?" Teras wondered as he tried to break the cage but it was futile, it was too hard for him to break it
"I forgot to mention... I'm an 8th card user meaning I can control Earth! Goodnight Teras! Come inside when you are finished" Becka said as she left Teras alone
'Is she serious? Why the hell would she do that?' Teras wondered as he tried to imitate what Becka told him but he couldn't his hand didn't have enough momentum or strength to break the cage
"I FORGOT AGAIN! WHEN YOU MAINTAIN YOUR MANA FLOW YOUR MANA CONTROL GETS BETTER SO YOU WILL IMPROVE ENOUGH TO GET OUT!" Becka yelled before going into the mansion
'Oh great! At least she spared me the details...' Teras ironically thought as he channeled his mana flow
At the first minutes, Teras was able to hardly maintain his mana flow but after that things started to go south
'It hurts, my arms, my legs, my body, my head, everything hurts so much... Not even when that giant punched me I didn't feel such pain, I want to stop... But I can't! If I do then I would have rejected this chance Tokkou gave me, even though Becka is harsh at me I can tell she cares too and the only thing she says is the truth, Tokkou took a stray like me and helps me out for no reason at all so I can't be half-assed if I do then I don't only disrespect their help but them too'
Teras thought as his whole body was trembling
"Relax kid! You are going to blow up if you are this tense!" Tokkou said
He was lying on top of the cage looking at the stars, Teras stopped and laid down too, it was an automatic response to Tokkou, he didn't think about it, his body simply gave up
"The stars are beautiful aren't they?" Tokkou asked
"What are stars Tokkou?" Teras asked
"Stars are stories, they say when legends die a star is born, some stars even create constellations that symbolize things, my favorite is the Orion! This constellation symbolizes a hunter so great that could win a card possessor with just his mana, wild isn't it?" Tokkou said as he smiled like a little child
"You don't believe that do you? You mean a kid like me could beat someone like you? Not even if I held this mana flow for ages!" Teras said as he laughed
"You don't, Teras? Do you think this is a mere fairytale?" Tokkou asked in a serious tone
"Who knows? My exitance is as weird as this story so I can't really say anything else..." Teras thought out loud as he laughed, Tokkou laughed too
"If you think that then do this Teras, when I die make sure to look at the stars and see the most bright star in the night sky, this will be me, I will be the final star to Orion's sword finishing this unfinished constellation!" Tokkou said with a bright smile, he was standing up while pointing at the night sky
Silence followed, Teras and Tokkou simply stared at the stars not saying a single word
"When you channel your mana flow remember to keep breathing, surprisingly enough people forget that, plus make sure to visualize your mana moving constantly, not only when your heart beats, mana is a fluent energy, just like the energy you have to move and speak, mana is its own weird energy source that everyone uses, make sure to think of it as something natural and not something you summon. That's all for today! Make sure you break out of this cage by midnight... I will be disappointed if you don't" Tokkou said with a smug in his face, he truly believes in Teras
Teras was then left all alone gazing at the stars...
"LET'S DO THIS!" Teras said as he activated his mana flow
'If he truly believes that I can do it then I can't let Tokkou down!' Teras thought as he increased the intensity of his mana flow and maintained it for a minute after minute, and after that, an hour passed
'I feel like my muscles are melting off my body... I should probably stop...' Teras thought as breathing started to be a challenging task
But before he did that he looked at the sky, more importantly, the moon, the beautiful moon calmed his muscles and mind too
Teras then stood up and imitated what Becka taught him, right before the impact he released his mana, and to his surprise he was free, but the thing that surprised him more was the damage he dealt on the cage, it was shattered...
'Did I do all that?' Teras thought as he watched the damage but he thought it is okay and ran back into the mansion not realizing he was maintaining his mana flow
Teras asked a random maid about his room and she happily showed him where it is, after opening the door Teras was surprised to see Tokkou sitting on top of his bed playing with the bunny
"Uhm... I was planning to tell you about it but I had my training session..."
"This "it" is a female bunny, and on top of that it is also a battle bunny, battle bunnies are used in combat and racing too and they are rare to find meaning a young one like this could sale for quite a lot money, but on the other hand you could also use it yourself..." Tokkou said as he lifted the bunny with his telepathy power
"Well after here I don't know where exactly I can go so I can't make the decision right now because I might regret it in the future"
Tokkou looked at Teras with a confused look
"Your only choice is to become an adventurer right now, exploring the world will probably make some memories return, you probably used mana in your previous life so try to recall any other uses of mana in your life, they will probably be important," Tokkou told him
"I don't know if I'm ready yet, I mean most people are stronger than me at this point right, adventuring alone can be hard..."
"It can but that's why you are going on the adventurers' exam next town! There you can be verified as an adventurer and able to accept quests from a quest board and also hope to form a party, just don't get too attached, you never know what kind of people you can meet there..." Tokkou said as he got off the bed
"How the hell am I supposed to do all that?" Teras asked confused
"I will help you through all this kid, you don't need to worry about the details..."
Teras felt this feeling again... The feeling that something isn't right
"Why are you helping me? If you continue like that I can never repay you so why do that? Why help a random kid you saw inside the woods?" Teras asked
Tokkou stopped moving and slowly turned around
"Your eyes and your way of acting remind me of someone, plus you are quite interesting! Being able to use mana like it is nothing on your first day is truly a sign of a genius!" Tokkou said as he looked at Teras
Teras was confused so before Teras could ask Tokkou replied
"You are currently using your mana flow, but you didn't know that did you?" Tokkou said
Teras was confused, he didn't struggle or feel any pain, so how could he use mana flow?
"If you make your flow more intense your strength and speed get enhanced, that's the normal amount of mana flow a human has but it isn't activated until they can control their mana flow manually meaning you have successfully managed to control your mana, I will tell Becka about your performance and let you get the hang of more complicated mana features! Anyway! Don't forget to name your bunny!" Tokkou said before leaving
'I never have been good with naming... I guess I will call you...'
"Cromi! How about that?" The bunny hopped around the bed
"Cromi it is!" Teras said as he lied back in the middle of the bed, he slowly closed his eyes, and he quickly fell asleep in this dark and quiet night
…
"What are you doing?"
A shadowy figure asked him, it was surrounded by dark clouds
"You are wasting your time you have to find them, he will not wait for you, so quickly get back on your feet and don't stop! you should find them and put an end to this circle of hatred! Because only YOU can! don't ever forget that!"
Teras woke up, he was full of sweat he felt heavy, the whole world was moving around for him
"What was that?"
He asked himself out loud, indeed, what was that?
