"If you die, I will die with you," she said with a confident smile. "I would rather be dead than be a widow in this palace," she announced.
Liam sat back watching her take another spoon before another and she had taken a lot more than he expected. He had a feeling she will not hesitate to finish the food if he lets her continue without him and he did not want her to eat the food he wanted to fill his stomach with.
Liam told all in the room to leave including the woman he was yet to accept as his wife to leave the room after ordering them to bring his guard over.
He waited for hours even when it was late into the night but his guard has yet to come before him. He sat up when sleep was about to take over him. He wanted to remain awake until the guard comes as he could imagine another day without understanding what his life used to be before he moved into the prince's body.
