"The crown princess could not perform the ritual well because she could not affect you with her magic. She said you had a strong shield around you that protected you from her spells when she tried to get rid of all the evil," the guard narrated making Liam unable to hold back his smile.
Liam was surprised by the news. He had just hugged the woman to avoid going through the ritual without an extra thought but alas he had only narrowly escaped pain without being aware.
"So, what do they think about that?" Liam asked as he wanted to know what that meant without directly asking. If it was a good thing, then it was best to act like he was aware of what happened and that way he will not be looked down upon or taken for granted.
"They asked me the same question but I did not know you could render magic null and powerless so had no explanation to give them that is why I asked," the guard replied with pure curiosity as well as admiration in his eyes.
