"I am not the prince," Liam said as he tried to stand up straight but his abdomen had him bending forward like he was having a serious case of constipation.
The man signaled for the hairy man to leave and the man obeyed without hesitation although he was about to beg the man to stay. The man to him was more trustworthy than the man who claimed to be his guard.
"I must return home. my parent must be worried about me so I guess you have to keep me out of your crazy hidden camera show because I can not remember signing up for such nonsense," he warned the man as he began walking to the door without caring about the man was standing at the doorway.
The man stops Liam with a hand on his shoulder. Liam was not one to take such physical touch from a man likely.
He caught the man's hand and threw the man over his shoulder to the ground. The man landed on his back on the ground and grimaced.
Liam smiled. He wished he caught it on camera but they must have caught it on their hidden camera, the video might go viral.
He dusted his hand as he straightened his shoulder and stood up straight. He has not lost his touch and he could flip a man over just as fast as he used to in the past.
With a smile on his face over his victory, the stomach ache had become history that he did not realize that it had already gone.
He stepped out of the hut into a settlement that he had only seen in advertisements for donations to hungry kids in Africa.
So many huts and little children dressed as ragged as that hairy man stood watching some men with their horses. He flexed his shoulders and hands as he knew he would have to do a little exercise with the men ahead.
They were dressed in the same black and blue clothes the man wore although he could tell that theirs was of lesser quality as the blue of their cape had a lighter color.
To his surprise, they bowed to him with their hands on their sides. He smiled and ran in the opposite direction into the woods.
"Get him!" he heard a shout and he ran faster. That man must have regained his energy to give such a loud order.
Whatever was going on, he did not have enough time to think about it as he continued running as fast as he could. How could they call him 'Your highness' and hurt him?
He remembered the straightjacket he was forced to wear and he wanted so badly to scream out frustratedly.
He did not believe or apprehend what was happening but he had one strong desire and that was to return to his family members.
He enjoyed his freedom of being able to run away while it lasted. He got caught in a trap and was hanging from a tree in a net in a short while.
He had no weapon on him and when he looked from that height, he could see those men coming for him. He closed his eyes and sighed.
He began trying to use his teeth to chew on the part of the net closest to his face. His teeth felt like they were getting grated as he continued to try.
He stopped when he saw the whitish powder on that part of the net. "F**k!" he spat out. This was one of the craziest things he has ever seen.
He ran his tongue over his teeth and it felt weird.
"Your highness, the emperor expects your arrival in a fortnight. He has invited people over for a party to celebrate your return. We have to begin the journey right away," that lofty man informed him.
"If I am a prince, don't you know that I could punish you for doing this to me?" he asked angrily. "This net was trying to grate off all my teeth."
"I am sorry if I have been rude to you, your highness but I am following the king's order," the man replied with a deep bow but that apology made Liam witness more insincerity from the man.
"Get me down from here. I feel so cramped here," he shouted with frustration.
He glared at the man as he was brought down. two weeks journey? He frowned and rubbed his temple tiredly. "I have not been physically well for a while now. I need rest and food," he told the man with a glare as he adjusted the ragged clothes he wore.
"I know that very well, your highness. You have been unconscious for more than three weeks. You receive the best treatment when we get to the next town. They await your arrival."
He agreed with the plans on his mind. He smiled and looked at one of the horses. It was a brown stallion and it looked like that idle warhorse.
He mounted the horse and waited for the rest. The horse was more docile than he thought it would be. He had ridden horses a few times when visiting his grandfather's farm and he found them to be very interesting animals.
Who wouldn't like a fine horse when they see one? He liked the neatness of the horse and the way the horse had looked at him.
His friends would have concluded that he had lost his mind if he told them his thoughts about the horse but he was very sincere about his analysis of the horse.
"You recognized your horse, so I must say that you are only pretending to have lost your memory," the knight told him with a hint of warning the young man was not trying to hide.
Liam laughed. "Is there a place called Asia here?" he asked after a few seconds of silence.
"No," the man replied coldly.
He laughed as began to understand what was happening. A voice warned him not to accept the reality they were creating for him because they could make fun of him later if it turned out to be a hidden camera prank.
He silenced that voice as he remembered the crazy scientist. He was not sure how he made it possible to send him to this world. He did not even receive an injection or drink any concoction. That man had to be something.
He looked up at the light that penetrated through the canopy of leaves that provided shade to them from the midday sun and screamed out.
He wished he had believed the man and he would have saved his family members.
