"You…are cursed." August divulged looking at her eyes with astonishment.
He pointed at the path she walked. Everything living was turned into ashes. From the plants to any animal whether in the sky, fell onto the ground like a lump of coal.
How did he know about this curse? He read it in a book gifted to her by his sister. A woman who massacred a whole town because of her lover which resulted in her being banished from the earth with a curse that anything her blood touched would turn up into ashes.
Azrael's eyes widened in shock. She glanced at her palms. Unconsciously, her nails dug past her skin, dropping the cursed blood with each step she took.
But how did he know about her curse? Other than the beings like her no one knew of it. Then how can a human she met days ago know the horrible past?
Azrael clenched her fist not letting another drop fall on the ground, while her spasmodic breath tried to wall the inner turmoil in her.
