The table goes quiet when Zhang Li Mei asks Kit about sleeping together. Shiro hold his breath as he knows his son. Hoping that Kit will be kind with his response.
"Yes , if we get hand fasted we can sleep together without judgement from anyone. Though my family are not going to judge even if we sleep together before we are joined. It is advised to be formally joined in case children arrive to soon. That way it stops gossip and the woman's reputation stays in tact." Kit explains to Zhang Li Mei .
The room seems to melt away and only the two of them are present. Zhang Li Mei's heart pounds in her ears as she swallows hard looking at Kit. The palms of her hands begins to sweat as she thinks about the possibility of being with this man.
