30th August, my best friend was born. the women in the room kept congratulating Aunty Maggie. they say the baby is very beautiful. I did want Aunty Maggie to birth a boy, but having a little girl around sounds exciting as well . "Anne" they're going to name her Anne, as the maids in the house busy around letting others know that the lady of the house has put to birth.
My three years old self timidly walks to where the baby has been placed and I stare down at her, I do admit she's a little good looking but not that pretty for everyone to be smitten.
I wonder if they all made such noise and wandered around excitedly when I was born. little Anne holds my finger and begins to cry, The maids shoo me away and bring her to Aunty Maggie. oh well, feels good to have another child around the house ...
I am IMelda, and yes it is spelt that way. nothing has been said to me about my birth mother, I just know that Aunty Maggie cares for me and she's the best, I hope to return the favor someday .
the next months after the baby's birth was stressful, from her baptism to other things I can't quite remember. Aunty and her husband are devoted Catholics.
The baby is strong enough, the maids let me play with her, I can say she's indeed beautiful, blue doe eyes, blonde hair, let's see how far she improves as she grows .
30th august, it's been a year already, still as beautiful as ever. the maids joke around and say Anne will definitely find a good husband at a young age, and they can't wait for her to come of age. they speak about all the dolling up that will take place.
well, I can't wait to see how beautiful this little princess turns out as well.
Aunty Maggie caught a flu, we've been evacuated from the mansion so we won't get it as well, the maids take us to the other mansion not too far from our residential house . I'm here with Anne, my little bestfriend . we get to spend more time together.
James O'clifford, Aunty Maggie's husband spends time here with us. I really hope she gets better, can't handle losing the lady of the house.
1st December , Aunty Maggie has gotten better, we can now return to the mansion. she's so happy to have her little girl in her arms again, back when she was sick, I could see the fear in her eyes, she was so scared of leaving us behind.
I learnt that's the exact way I lost my mother, to a deadly flu. Aunty Maggie didn't want it to happen. she fought, she conquered.
Anne is growing all strong and smart, I think I've found my best friend
