Eva felt warmer than normal for some reason. The heaviness in her limbs and headache seemed to have disappeared with her sleep.
She slowly opened her eyes and realized she was warm because Lucas was laying right next to her.
Her heart seemed to leap into her throat. She tried to search her memories for what had happened that would have led to this development.
She remembered they were moving camps like usual and she felt sick. How long was she asleep for?
She felt Lucas' arms tighten around her and she realized his eyes were now open looking down at her.
For a moment they stared at each other in shock. Then Eva quickly hid her face in the only place available to her at the moment, Lucas' chest.
"Are you feeling better?"
Lucas' voice was so close to her ear that it caused a deep burning sensation to fill her cheeks.
