"You are so stubborn. I know you are in pain. Why did you insist on coming with me?"
Eva was hovering close to Lucas as they walked through the forest. He insisted on coming with her to restock their herb supply.
"Calm down, Eva. See, there."
Lucas pointed to some plants hiding in the shadow of a distant tree. Eva's eyes squinted in the direction that Lucas was pointing.
She had looked over that same spot already. Clenching her fists she immediately went over to the plant that Lucas pointed out.
"With that plant you want to leave the herb intact until you're ready to prepare the medicine. Here, remove the whole plant including the roots."
Lucas hand brushed against Eva's hand as he helped her dig around the plant. A blush tinged her cheeks light pink.
It was only yesterday that she almost confessed her feelings to Lucas. She felt like such a coward.
"Leave the rest so the forest can keep growing the herbs for others to find."
