Lucas shut the door a little forcefully when he re-entered their bedroom, but his eyes softened at Eva talking animatedly with Annalise.
"Goodness, Lucas. If you come into the room with such a bother you are going to wake up little Arya." Annalise chastised him.
Lucas wanted to protest but she was right. Fortunately, Arya was fast asleep in Eva's arms. He reached for her and freed Eva's arms up in order to enjoy her tea with Annalise.
He kissed Arya's forehead and moved to sit beside Eva. Arya stirred for a moment and grabbed onto Lucas' shirt. It reminded him of Eva when she was fast asleep in the forest.
"I see she is already attached to her father just as my little Lise is. Fathers doting on their daughters is the most adorable thing. Remember to spoil her lots. Daughters need their fathers to spoil them so they choose partners who will also treat them well," Annalise began her lecture, instructing Lucas how to treat Arya.
