"My lady, we need to move you back to the bed for the night." A maid bowed in Eva's direction as she closed the book she had been reading by the fire.
Red picked up his head by the fireplace and stretched before yawning. He walked to his mother's side and nuzzled her hand. It was still cold despite spring being literally right around the corner.
Eva pushed the small throw blanket to the side and used the side of the chair to lift her heavy body out of the chair. The maid rushed to her other side and helped her up.
"Ow." A small twinge in her stomach caused her to pause.
"Should I call for Master Fiora?" The maid seemed concerned.
"No, the little one just kicked me a little harder than usual. Let us just get over to the bed. Fiora said I need to rest as much as possible in the next few weeks."
"Of course." The maid's face scrunched up in worry but she guided Eva to the bed and helped her stack up pillows to make her more comfortable.
