Eva watched the man guarding her fall before her. The rock she had been doodling with had fallen to the floor in her surprise. Not even a second later a crimson soaked leopard came barreling through the door and up to her face.
"Red?"
The possibility of Red finding her didn't even cross her mind. He had not been present at the fire and she did not remember seeing him in the palace.
Red was almost always out hunting or finding a comfortable napping spot. Yet she felt pure joy in the fact that he had found her once more.
The only problem was he was covered in blood and actively licking her face.
"Why are you covered in blood? Here let me wash you off."
She reached towards the gently rolling stream and splashed some water on the leopard's fur, much to his unhappy realization.
"Eva." She paused her splashing motion at the sound of this familiar voice.
