Pain. That is all Eva could think as she slowly opened her eyes. A shiver went down her spine as her spine as cold metal cut into her wrists. She was chained to the wall behind her.
The metal clanked against the wall as she tried to move herself into a more comfortable position. The chains were set up so that there was just enough slack so as no to hold her arms above her head, but she couldn't place her arms to her sides.
Her dress was soaked through from the moisture that was clinging to the walls and the faint squeaking in the darkness told her that she was probably somewhere underground. Someone had slumped her against the wall before chaining her to it.
Everywhere she looked was met with an all-encompassing darkness. Even camping in the forest with Lucas had not been this dark. The dull ache in her head did nothing to help her as she tried to formulate some kind of plan of escape.
