"You can't just take responsibility for something that is obviously my fault."
If she let this elf use his charm to confuse her then she would feel horrible later. It was best to force the issue now. Something that would cause her mana to overflow like that must be serious.
"How about we don't worry about who was at fault and look toward the future."
Lucas took her hand and kissed the back of it. Eva could feel her heart pounding inside her chest. Nervously she pulled her hand away and looked away from his face.
"Do you find it hard to look at my face?"
"Y-yes."
Lucas placed his free hand under Eva's chin and pulled it up to look at him. Eva's face burned as he forced her eyes to look back at his face. Experiencing these shy moments with Eva fueled his unreasonable feelings even more.
