"Do you believe him, sire?" Officer Kang asked the king who seemed to be in his thoughts. It had been a long day for him and with his daughter now dead, he didn't know how he was to proceed.
He wanted to tell the officer that he didn't believe Zhervos, but then Zhervos couldn't have made the long trip here. It wouldn't make any sense and the king wanted to understand. The longer he thought about it, the longer he knew there were so many risks.
"Send a messenger to the queen of rogues. Tell her that I request an audience. Remember I need her unharmed and alive and if she comes here irritated, tell the warriors that I will have their heads on a platter," the king said.
Officer Kang looked at king Nathaniel again, not believing that the king of the undead would even consider harming his own people. Whoever it was that had murdered his daughter had to have had some guts.
