Dimitri knows that he shouldn't have be away for two days straight.
It will only rouse suspicions or even worse, with his lack of communication with Maridawn, people might have thought he had run away from his duties.
With an alibi that he went to Doctor Swan's clinic as promised, he made sure that the car he borrowed from Kevin is being parked at a nearby garage outside the Palace and drove back inside as if he was done with his deal.
He can just tell Maridawn that he couldn't get Doctor Swan because he was at the doctor's conference yesterday and it was true since there was one scheduled yesterday.
So, as he enters the palace entrance, he is greeted by the sight of Kevin with his goofy grin brightened as he waves his hand.
"Yo, fully-fledged alpha attendant!"
The side window automatically slides down and Dimitri greets him with his trademark smile.
