Chapter 17 - An Unexpected Stranger

Apparently, a few drinks meant four or five bottles. 

Maridawn decides to take a breather outside (but not too far away) and finds a wooden gazebo in the lake. It's a short distance away from the cottage and she finds enjoyment in this moment of solace.

She gulps another bottle–losing count of the number she has taken until she drinks every last drop.

"Haa! That's a relief!" 

She has a high tolerance for alcohol and she can freely act uncouth without being judged as "un-ladylike".

She tried inviting Caroline since she has grown fond of the young maid but unfortunately, she ran off after refusing the invitation.

It's a shame, really. The alcohol has a refined taste that even the Silverfang family couldn't wield on it.
