Living a life filled with nothing but sorrow, pain, hurt, guilt and to name it all, was something no one would ever wish for, but what if they don't have a choice? That was the life of Amby, the second half of Ambrosia.
Not only was Ambrosia cursed but she, Amby, was also affected by it. Ambrosia was locked up in her castle for centuries and Amby's cursed life was getting no happiness and love.
Anyone who ends up loving her would die a terrific death and that was why every foster parent who ever loved her died painfully. She couldn't go to the castle and some certain part of the forest and Ambrosia couldn't leave the forest, that was the curse on them.
Amby sighed deeply and sat up. She looked around her messy room and stretched her hand. Ambrosia and her did had many things in common and that was keeping their rooms really unkempt.
She climbed down the bed and stretched her body. It was her day off and the only thing she had her mind on doing was sleeping, eating, watching her favorite movie series and then sleeping again. There was nothing else to do and know one to visit. That is the life of a lonely young girl, living alone.
Amby walked into her kitchen with a toothbrush in her mouth and a towel on her shoulders. She opened the refrigerator and sighed in exasperation. Another morning of going to the grocery store.
"How do I eat a lot like this? I just went to the grocery shop last week," she complained and went back to the bathroom.
Walking down the walkway in the busy street, Ambylla couldn't stop smiling as one of her favorite song played through her earpieces. Hearing the song in a cool and bright day was something she loved. It had a way of creating an imagination of the world she wished she was in.
For the centuries she's being alive, that world was never created. A world of peace, a world of happiness and a world where she could live a normal life.
The smile on her face slowly disappeared as she slowed down her steps. She looked behind her and when she saw no one, continued walking. After walking a few steps, she took a turn towards the next direction, a different path from the grocery store. The small path she took was in between two buildings and so was quiet and empty. Reaching the road end, she stopped and clicked her tongue in amusement.
"If you really want to follow someone secretly, then do it right," she said and turned but found no one. "Really? I know someone is following me."
A man walked out from behind the trash cans before her. He walked closer to her and smiled sheepishly. "Hello..."
"Hello to you too. A vampire is following me?" She asked with her arms crossed beneath her bosoms.
Ramin stared at her with a slightly widened eyes, surprised that she figured out who he was so quickly. Well, he was told to protect the human by none other than Edwin. The little girl will surely know a lot about the vampires. But who was she and why did Edwin told him to protect her? That he haven't figured out but he will soon.
"Yes, you are right." he replied after a minute of silent.
"You walked under the bright sun without getting burnt. You aren't wearing sunglasses too. You are a third rank, aren't you?"
Impressive, he almost screamed out. The girl knew a lot about the vampires and she was able to figure out his rank too. He nodded with an impressed smile like an impressed father whose child answered a really hard question.
"Not bad, you do know a lot about us. Well, I was sent to protect you mistress."
"Who sent you to protect me? I don't need any protection."
Two names came to her head of who would have done it. It's either Edwin, of course the man is always worried about her and overprotective cause she is human and vulnerable to be killed. The other name was Ambrosia, but Ambrosia is too busy to worry about her. There was no witches or vampires who knew about her and that was why she haven't be killed. Having no threat around her, the vampire queen never cared about her. Well, she cares about no one not even her self.
She continued, "Edwin is always worried," she said out loud and walked pass him.
The third rank vampire wondered who the little lady was. She's quite smart to have figured out who sent him and who he was. The little lady just made him curious to know more about her. He smiled and went after her.
Luther walked into the grocery store smiling brightly at every one who turned to look at him. Of course, who wouldn't take a glance at the handsome son of the Vladimirs. That morning, something strange happened. He had woken up from a horrible nightmare of his sister missing in the forest. He woke up and found her in her room sleeping soundly. Worried about the dream, he told his parent and they also told him about their similar dreams too.
After waking up, he felt a big empty space in his heart as if he lost someone so close to him. He felt as if someone he loves was out there but he doesn't know who that person was.
Just like how Ambrosia said, the memories of Darren was wiped out from their heads.
Amby entered the store but seeing the face of her boss's son, she turned and covered her face. She remembered embarrassing herself in front of him and lightly pinched herself.
"Why do I have to see him again?" she questioned in a whisper and rushed out of the store without being spotted by him. Still covering her face and not looking forward, she bumped into someone, hitting their forehead together.
"Are you blind?" a very familiar voice said. Amby looked up and rolled her eyes. Not who she was expecting at all. What a great way to enjoy a free day. "My day just had to be ruined by you." Joanna yelled. "The four eyes girl couldn't even see when she has more eyes than me. You don't deserve any eyes at all." she mocked disdainfully.
Amby adjusted her glasses and looked away. Great, just great, Joanna was stirring a lot of attention to them. Just seeing her ruined her morning already.
"I am disgusted by your presence, you ugly bitch."
Amby pursed her lips and looked at her. Surely the girl went over board by calling her a bitch. Sometimes, she wish she had Ambrosia powers and strength, then she wouldn't have to face any sort of bullying at all. She would have thought Joanna a big lesson long ago.
"Stop looking at me that way, I am your boss." Joanna said, earning a stern look from Amby. Annoyed by the look on the daring girl, Joanna raised her hand to slap her and show her her place, but her hand was held back by a strong hand.
Ramin wanted to step in seeing his mistress being insulted by another woman, but stopped himself from interfering. The other woman raised her hand to slap her and his sense of protection rose in him and his eyes turned red. Just when he wanted to jump between them and snap the lady's neck, a young man stopped her hand midway.
"Do you want me to call the police on you for assault? You are a grown lady and you must know the implications of assaulting someone." Luther said.
A while ago when he was about leaving, he heard the commotion and looked towards the direction. His eyes brightened when he saw the woman who had held his hand in the elevator last night, but the lady before her wasn't ready to stop insulting her.
Seeing the commotion getting intense, he went closer and he was glad he did so cause he was able to stop her from slapping the girl.
Joanna removed her hand from his grip and glared at Amby. She scoffed at her and ran off. Amby breathed out in relief when she left, grateful that she didn't lose her cool in front of her. She looked at the man who saved her and her eyes widened seeing the son of her boss.
Embarrassed, she looked down and played with her fingers. "Th....thank you."
"Amby right? What are you doing here?"
"I live just around the corner."
"Mind if I walk you back home."
Amby looked back and saw Ramin waiting for her. "Don't worry, someone is walking me home," she said.
"Okay, if you say so."
"Then see you later," she waved and went with Ramin. Luther watched her until they were out of sight.
He sighed deeply and his smile brightened
