"What do you mean?" I asked Xavier with a worried expression as the car continued to race. He didn't seem bothered and with a sly smirk on his face, he looked out of the window — ignoring my question.
The car stopped before I could ask any further questions. As I looked out of the window in curiosity, I was disappointed because I couldn't figure out anything.
"Come out, Scarlet," I heard his voice and I went out immediately. The car drove off, leaving me in utter confusion.
"You're homeless here?" I asked as I looked around, only to find everything stranded with not a single house around. There were a few small houses at a distance, but I didn't think Xavier would stay at any of those.
"No, stupid," He took my hand and started taking me inside an abandoned field. I broke my hand free from his grip and looked at him with furrowed brows. "Where are you taking me?"
"Stop whining!" He shouted.
I exhaled. I thought it was best to keep quiet for a while now.
