" Well, I will be eating out tonight." Jade replied before adding, " Am having a date with Phoenix later. I can't tag you along."
" You wouldn't allow me to come even if she invited me. I won't disrupt your time so just drive me home."
The trip home took forty minutes. Jade didn't stay long as he had to pick up Phoenix.
He arrived at 'Jolly Jay Spa' shop in no time, parking the car by the entrance. Quickly he informed Phoenix who came jogging with her tote bag in hand.
Today she was putting on a loose pink knee length dress making her appear much shorter. It was hilarious, especially her legs as she marched towards the entrance.
Jade climbed down, his eyes shining brightly. His hands were inside his pockets, a wide smile painting his red lips. The visible pointed canine made him dazzling to look at. Not forgetting his sculptured jaw bone. The corner of his eyes wrinkled slightly as he laughed.
" Come, give me a hug." He opened his arms wider ready to receive her into his embrace.
Phoenix hurried and stopped before him. She stood on her tiptoes and tightly hugged his neck. His scent enveloping her. She couldn't help herself but breath in.
Jade held her waist to support her body weight.
" You smell of detergents, were you cleaning?" He enquired as he caught the smell of detergents on her body.
Phoenix loosened her hold around his neck, looked up to his face making a disgusted expression. " Yeah, I went through my old files and ended up mass cleaning."
" Don't you have cleaning personnel?" Still holding her, Jade rubbed Phoenix's waist. He had to admit that he was enjoying himself.
" I do have.... It's sometimes good to do your own things. Always relying on people leads to laziness. Am still young so I can do that myself."
" I get you but it appears as though you used the whole bucket when cleaning." He lowered his hand and stroked her butt in a playful way.
A frown appeared between Phoenix's brows as she sniffed her clothes. The smell choked her resulting in a coughing fit. Tears welled up in her eyes. She appeared as if wronged. Jade rubbed her back in slow, smooth circular motion.
" I have water in my car, let's go." They held hands as Jade led her to the front passenger's side.
" Am fine. This is nothing much and I wouldn't have choked if you didn't remind me."
Jade stared at her with narrowed eyes. He raised his right eyebrow when Phoenix coughed once more.
" Indeed you are fine." He remarked sarcastically.
