Nobody had ever kissed Phoenix in this manner. The kiss was breath taking. It felt as if Jade wanted to suck her soul out of her body. Trying to match his pace, Phoenix brought her fingers up to his hair as she pulled and combed through. Her mind blanked as the kiss intensified.
Sometime passed before they parted from each other. Their lips swollen and full. They stared into each others eyes as they shared a smile before Jade gave her lips a final peck.
"Why did you do that? I was just kidding," She backed away as embarrassment took over her. Her muffled voice had a trace of shyness. A tiny smile blossomed on her little round face.
" I was helping you carry out your plan. You sounded more like you were threatening me so..."
Jade chuckled. His body leaned forward earning a push from Phoenix. He looked at her before sitting up straight and fixed his clothes. " I wanted to assist with your seat belt but seems like you will not allow me."
" It's your own fault. You never said so. And how was I supposed to know your intentions. I will do this myself. Thanks even though it was a failed attempt. haha."
A subtle smile graced Jade's lips as he stroked them. " Oh dearest sweetheart, I was kindly returning the favour."
Phoenix blushed. Heat crept up behind her ears and neck as she lowered her head.
" I was unaware that the bold Phoenix Jay is this shy. Or are you faking it my love? You know you can be yourself when you're with me. Now show me that smile."
Jade could see her turn red and fidget with the hem of her dress. The causing factor was very clear. She was embarrassed.
Jade's laugher filled the tiny space. It was soothing and beautiful. His laughter was inviting and carried warmth. This made him seem much more approachable. He seemed carefree, no dark aura a military man would carry.
Phoenix turned her head in his direction. She was amazed to hear him laugh in this manner. A thought crossed her mind.
_ 'Everything about him is heavenly.' _
Seeing her look over, he held back from laughing further. Their eyes met and they stayed that way for a couple of seconds before Jade chased the silence away.
"I had a really bad day and would feel better seeing a pretty girl smile. So, would you smile for me?"
Phoenix lifted her hand, pinching his muscular arm. A sudden frown graced his handsome features.
" Is that how you smile? Babe, that is not smiling but pinching. Let me show you how it's done," He said in a childlike manner. His lips split into a affectionate grin. It was infectious. Phoenix felt her heart beat quickening.
The corners of her mouth slowly began twitching upwards. She wanted to laugh at his silliness. Barely holding back her laughter, she instead gave a cheeky smile.
" You hid yourself well," He stroked her hand, lightly giving it a kiss.
Her smile widened further. It felt ticklish and sweet.
Jade continued when noticing the confusion on her face, " If only I had met you earlier but then it's still fine. I have you all to myself."
" Stop it now and I wasn't hiding. You were just blind to notice my existence." Immediately she yanked her hand back.
" That's true. I was blind not to," he replied.
It sounded awkward and somewhat off upon hearing him say it. It felt as if there was a heavy depressing air within the car. Phoenix froze realising what just happened.
" I... I didn't mean it that way. What I was trying to say is that... Am sorry... am..," Stuttering, she couldn't complete her sentence. She made an apologetic face.
" I got what you meant so no need to apologize, okay. I was blind but still I got you, right? Now let's get going so which way my lady?"
