The duo behind the couple smiled at each other, making funny faces. Troy who was smiling foolishly suddenly let out a muffled giggle.
_ ' Lizzy Morgan, what you see as nothing, someone will see it as something. I wonder how you will feel seeing brother with someone else.'_
" what are you laughing at? Share with me."
Walking next to her son, Connie glanced over as she wondered what thoughts could the young lad be filled with.
Looking over at his mother, Troy grinned widely.
" Am just wondering how those girls will react when they find out that brother is already taken. BOOMMM, let the game begin." he smiled wider, saying that.
' Am so happy everyday.
If you happy and you know it, just smile' The singing Troy attracted his brother's attention.
" What is making you happy and smile that much?"
" hahaha, a lot is on my mind and I don't know which one you want to hear first."
" Nothing, keep those to yourself."
Phoenix smiled at the interaction of the two brothers. She thought back to when she used to fool around with her friends.
## Flashback. ##
" Which one looks better, the green or the maroon one?"
Her friend, Joy placed two short dresses on top of the bed.
" I think maroon will suit you better. You know you look like a lettuce in green." Picking up the maroon dress, Phoenix passed it on to Joy.
" Then that makes you look like a spinach cause you are wearing the same colour. haha. Am sure Justin will love my look tonight."
Twirling around, Joy clutched a mop as she pretended to be talking to someone. " How do I look sweetheart. Justin is gonna be blown away right? I want to give him a suprise that will make him faint on the spot."
" Yeah, am sure he definitely will remember you for eternity. You are gonna scare him with your eye bags and hairstyle. Who styles their hair like that, even a hornbill would look sexy than you. Now let's give you a make over. Your style is causing me to have a running tummy."
Immediately after Phoenix stopped talking, she rushed inside the bathroom.
" You come here with your diarrhoea and blame my style? I know you ate spicy pasta yesterday so don't try to push the blame on my award winning style okay." Retorted Joy looking into the mirror.
" I sure looks worse than a hornbill. Oh Sweet Jesus come to my rescue."
##. Present. ##
Sighing, Phoenix placed the memories at the back of her mind. There is no use crying over split milk. Nothing is gonna wipe away their hurtful parting words.
" Do you practice sighing?" Jade glanced at her.
Not understanding his question, Phoenix made a funny expression. " Huh?"
Smiling at the silly woman by his side, Jade whispered next to her ear, " You sigh a lot so I thought you may have entered a sighing competition and you are practicing for that."
Feeling embarrassed, Phoenix poked his waist.
" What competition? I just thought of something, sorry if that is kind of..."
" No worries but I would love to hear you calling my name rather than sighing. How about that? That way, I will always be in your thoughts and heart." Biting her ear lobe, Jade licked it, smiling wickedly.
Phoenix flinched as the exciting sensations evaded her whole body. " What are you doing?"
" What did I do?" Feigning innocence, Jade smiled as he winked at her.
" You did that." She said in a hushed tone.
" Did what? What is it that you are talking about?"
" Nothing, you did totally nothing. I might have been bitten and licked by the great spirit."
Behind them, Troy's shoulder was suddenly grabbed by his mother, beckoning him to stop. Looking at his mother in perplexity, he pouted a little as he was enjoying the show at the front.
" Should we expect wedding bells soon. You know it's a good indication that his wounds are healing." Mother Paulson felt excited at this moment.
Finally, finally her son would be let free from the clutches of his bruised love. She prayed that one day Jade would find someone to love him and take him away from the pit of hell.
" And babies too. Mom you are gonna be a grandma and am gonna be an uncle. Let's give them some space and time."
