"Let's wait for her to wake up."
This was exactly what Asher suggested three hours ago after the doctor left, but Alita wasn't showing any sign of waking up. Axel's worry heightened because instead of improvement, it seemed her condition was worsening.
Her skin seemed to be getting darker and her breath became even shallower. Once in a while, she would knit her brows tight and let out a low groan as if she was in pain. Even Asher was beginning to get worried.
When Axel couldn't take the wait anymore, he stood up from the edge of the bed where he had been sitting for the past three hours.
"I can't wait anymore. I'm taking her to Nana." He declared and took off his jacket. As gently as he could, he wore the jacket on her, covering her exposed arms, and zipped it up. He picked her up from the bed and disappeared from the room. Asher followed him immediately.
