The got to the exchange room and saw the host of exchangers there, it seemed everyone had something to exchange for money. The interactions were buzzy, and they felt it would be a bit difficult spotting the Hunds men out.
They went to one of the exchange officers to ask if he had seen anyone that had come to exchange the wolf serum. He looked at them with a mix of expressions and directed them to the next officer.
They got there and asked him the same question and he told them that some men came to exchange the wolf serum for money, but the price they placed on it was too high. They quickly asked to know where they went and they were directed towards the back door, which they quickly left for.
They got out through the back door and entered the street, seeing people everywhere.
"Wait, there they are," Helen pointed to three men in suits.
"How sure are you? This isn't the way they dress," Fern said.
"Come on, you don't expect them to take those shabby clothes to the bank. It's for the woods," Six said to him.
"Let's just follow him," Launa said and they began to walk.
They followed them stealthily through wide and narrow, bends and corners, until they got to a lonely place surrounded by bushes and entered into a portal, which closed up immediately.
Itsuki wanted to go with them, but Kahil held him back.
"Do you know where you're going?" Kahil said to him.
"That portal looks like the one made from the aura Jona prepared us," Marie said.
"I noticed that too. Could this people have a connection with Jona?" Launa said.
"I strongly suspect, but I guess, for now we go back home before mother starts looking for us," Helen said.
"You go back home, while we go kick some ass," Itsuki said.
"Easy man. Remember Trevor needs us too," Launa said.
"We should go back now," Helen said, and she began to go.
They got to the tent, but we're surprised that no one was there.
Helen snorted. "They might have gone home."
"You've got another home?" Fern asked.
"Oh, you think here's my home?" Helen said.
"We'd love to know your house," Marie said.
While they went, Helen told them interesting things they'd see in her house which was typical of a sorcerer's house. She talked of a garden of Founou plants and other magical plants which enticed them.
They got to their house, which was isolated by a few meters from a busy street. It was similar to Jona's house, except for the pink smoke coming out of the chimney. Still they thought them and Jona had something in common.
They went behind the house and saw Trevor and Glowie with Helen's mother walking around the rich garden. She seemed to be showing him some things in the garden.
Glowie happily ran to welcome Launa when they arrived the garden.
"You guys spent quite a lot of time out there," the lady said.
"Well, we took a walk. My little friend showed something to me," Helen said.
"What was that?" Her mother asked.
"At first, he took us to a street where an exchange bank was. There was where we suspected those guys went to exchange the serum for money. Unfortunately we still didn't get them. The last we saw was them entering a portal," Helen said.
"What sort of portal is that?" The lady asked.
"Looked like the channeling portal. The one we came here with from Jona's place," Launa said.
"I know of that portal. The channeling portal," the lady said.
"Would you be able to prepare such portal for us?" Fern asked.
"That portal should be the one made from a mix of Founou and silver cream," Goyle said.
"Yeah, but not just that. You know how unstable the aura is. If not carefully made, could disrupt a lot of things in the cosmic realm," the lady said.
"We just need to get those idiots, that's all," Itsuki said.
"And also know whom they're working for. God help Jona not to be involved in this, because I'm ready to teach her a lesson," Six said.
"So, you guys are ready now?" The lady asked.
"So ready!" Itsuki said.
"Now, Helen, take them inside for some food while I make something for them," the lady said.
Helen took them inside the house and gave them some food she prepared.
It wasn't long until the lady came inside holding a grey pot that had silvery smoke coming out of it.
"This doesn't look like the one Jona made for us," Itsuki said.
"Yes, this one is quite different. It could take you to a place where you can find whom you pursue," she said.
"Oh, wow. Then bring it on!" Fern said.
She told them to stand up, and when they did, she did some incantations, which irked Expresso, and when she was done, she blew air into the pot, and the entire place went blank.
And in the blank space, channels began to open, different channels of different sizes and shapes.
Then they heard the lady's voice. "These are the channels from which you could follow to get them. Each of you has choose a channel, you'd land in different places, but you'd always find a way back together, and in that process, get to where the Hunds men are."
"Uhm, I don't get. Why should we split up?" Expresso asked.
"The reason is this. The portals can only accommodate one person. If two people get into a single portal, it vanishes and lands you both in an unknown place," the lady said.
"So how do we find each other if we split?" Fern asked.
"You'd find helpers in the realms you'd enter," she said. "The helpers would also lead you to the Hunds men. But be careful not to follow the wrong ones."
"Helpers? What sort of helpers?" Expresso asked.
"You worry too much. Let's just go, we'd surely know what comes out of this as we go," Trevor said.
"Thank you mother, Helen, Goyle. We are grateful," Marie said.
"Now it's time," the lady said.
They looked at the portals, how they wobbled and wriggled. Without thinking too much, each of them entered a channel, and it closed up.
