Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Undescribeable Feelings (Part 1)

Julia's POV

Julia opened her eyes and stretching her muscle. The sun was bright, but not her feeling. It's already two weeks and exactly what Cecilia said happened. Salvatore clan will visit his funeral to pay respect to the legendary.

For Julia, it's a farewell. He died because of lung cancer. She looks at her zippos and clenches her fist. She close her eyes and let tears running down to her face. The door knocked, and she abruptly wiped her tears. "Come in!" She picked her phone and pretending to checking on her social media.

Her ma opened the door and saw her daughter sat on the bed. "Did you just wake up?" Julia nods and put her phone on the nightstand. Julia walked to her mom and hugged her. "If you don't want to come, it's fine, Julia. I know it's hard for you," her ma tried to reassure her step-daughter.

She lets go of her hug and smiled. She didn't expect Julia will accept her as her step-mother along with Mariano. Julia's dad married with her step-mom because he told to do so, besides of that, he doesn't want Julia because of her sexuality. Where's her mother? Her mother passed away when she was 7 years-old. She took a deep breath and nods.

"I need time to prepare. It's his last wish." Marco's last wish is Julia and Cecilia will marry in front of his coffin. She will lead the funeral alongside with the priest. Julia closed her door and leaned on the door. Why her? Why not Rico? He was close to him.

She took a deep breath and dragged her feet to the bathroom. Either Cecilia and Julia, none of them ready to declare the magic words in front of the crowd. Besides, she doesn't want to hurt her. Julia took off her sweat jacket and looks at the mirror.

A week later was Chester's wedding. They should attend to pay his respect, but what about Cecilia's feeling after this? She wants to light a cigarette right now! Julia punched the mirror and took a deep breath. Will Cecilia feel the pressure same as her?

She's happy to marry her crush, but will Cecilia feel the same as her or it will pressure her? Become a wife from the mafia, it will be difficult for her. "Julia!? Everything alright?" Julia opened the door and shook her head. "Ma, I think..." Julia shook her head.

Promise is promise. It's a lifetime favor to protect and love Cecilia. She already made a promise to him.

"I will take a bath," she closed the door and leave her ma with questions.

Cecilia's POV

Cecilia pet her dog with her bathrobe still attached on her body. She's insecure with this marriage. After Marco closed his eyes a week ago, a lot of thoughts haunted her.

Cecilia was blind. She couldn't read, cook or even walking alone. The dog barking at her, as if the dog told her to get ready. She smiled and pet his head. Cecilia hasn't given him a name. "You hungry?" The dog keeps barking at her. She took a deep breath and stood up.

Chester opened the door, and he saw Cecilia already dressed in white, along with a bouquet on her hand. She mesmerized him by her beauty. "You beautiful." He said.

Chester wants to approach her, but he growled at him and bark. Chester strolled back and sighed. "Congratulations," he congratulates her.

Cecilia took a deep breath and sighed. "It's over, Chester." Cecilia declares. They haven't declared since they last met. No one dare to speak in that room. Chester clenched his fist and took a deep breath. He can't breathe. His chest feels heavy and hurt.

Chester shook his head. He asked, "W-we can befriend, right?" Cecilia shrugged her shoulders.

She was still in love with Chester, but she couldn't do anything. Chester was already with someone else, as she was. In an hour, she became the wife of Lady Salvatore. If she could choose right now. She wants to run away with him and start a new life together. They can reconcile, but will they be happy?

Cecilia smiled at him as tears down to her face. "Chester," Chester hummed. "Thank you for everything. I hope you can be happy with your wife." Chester smiled at Cecilia. She tried her best not to cry, but she failed. She cried and hugs her ex-lover.

"Why were you crying?" It's hurt for him to see Cecilia crying at this moment. Chester wants to hug her, but he can't. "Who gave you a dog?" Cecilia wiped her tears abruptly as Melania and Maria came in.

"Oh, Chester. How are you?" asked Melania.

Chester took a deep breath and resigned. "I-if you want to kill me, it's okay, I get it." He said. A sweat dripping all over his body and his legs were shaky. Unexpectedly, they hugged him.

"We are proud of you, Chester. Thanks for look after Cecilia." Chester relief. They let go of their hugs.

"I-It was my job," he said. He took a glance at Cecilia and tidying up his suit. "Let me be the one who brings Cecilia to the aisle." He begged them.

Maria pulled Chester, and she smiled at him. "That's why we were looking for you, Chester." Chester furrowed his brow.

"We planned to ask you to deliver Mrs. Salvatore to the aisle." Melania added, "also it's my husband's request." Cecilia smiled.

"You don't have a problem with that, right?" Cecilia shook her head.

"Okay, it's time." Cecilia grabbed his arm.

Julia's POV

Julia scratching her new hair and took a deep breath. Julia choose classic stylish short shaggy blend in well with her wavy hair. She took a deep breath as she saw Cecilia walk down the aisle with Chester. She tried to get rid of her thought about bad things will happen.

If they were running, her henchmen who were attending this ceremony and guard this church will chase them, or even worst they killed him. Julia cleared her throat, then led a hand to Cecilia. Cecilia rubbed her hand grip on Julia's hand tight.

"Julia, please take care of her." He said. Chester patted her shoulder and squeezed it, "you are the lucky one, and deserve her," he smiled and walked to his seat.

Julia took a deep breath as their eye meet. "I did not believe your Nonno's last request." She nods. Julia can't read her expression. Did she forced to this, or she welcomed? She didn't know.

"Julia, what's wrong?" The priest asked.

She ignores his question and looked at her in the eyes. "May I ask you a question?" Cecilia furrowed her brow as Julia put her finger on her lips.

"Are you forced to do this?" Julia took a glance at Marco's coffin. Cecilia grabbed her hand and kissed her finger.

"What happened to your hand?" Cecilia's eyebrow pulled up together.

"Can you answer my question?" Cecilia shook her head. She cupped her cheek and embracing her.

"Before I met you, I dreamed about a wolf walking alone. And that wolf was you," Julia doesn't understand about what she said, waiting for her to continue. Cecilia looks into her eyes and rubbed her hand.

"I know we haven't said that magic words, but are you sure about this? Are you forced to do this?" Julia unconsciously shook her head. Cecilia gave her an affectionate smile and kissed her lips. All people inside the church taking photos and cheering while the priest standing and clapping his hand.
