Victoria stood in silence for several seconds as she tried to process what she had just said. 'Hendrix, alive? Impossible.' She shook her head clearly denying such a possibility.
She was also one of the many goddesses who had fought him, and she had also witnessed his death during that battle.
Not only was his body destroyed, but his soul was also shattered to pieces. There shouldn't have been a way for him to survive. However...
"That aura just now it was unmistakably the aura of death... just what's going on here?" Victoria couldn't quite fathom the situation.
"Judging by that look on your face it seems it wasn't my imagination, was it? That bastard actually survived!" Victoria came out of her stupor to the sound of Drake's voice from behind.
"Yes, somehow..." She responded somewhat indifferently. However, Drake could see how shaken she was from the apparent expression on her face. "... If he did survive somehow, I'm confused why didn't he try to get revenge much sooner... it has already been thousands of years since that day." Victoria muttered.
She could clearly remember Hendrix's personality. Narcissistic, arrogant and proud. She couldn't imagine him not holding a grudge from what had happened to him.
"Ahahaha! Isn't it obvious, that bastard must have been greatly weakened since that fight and had been in hiding, Kukuk kuku! Good now I can get revenge for Thora." Drake said, as he clenches his fist. In his deep black eyes, a burning fury could be seen there.
He had always regretted that fact that he had lost his chance of revenge, Thora was the only woman he truly loved but she was killed by Hendrix and her divinity was stolen by him. This information wasn't known by all the gods and goddess, in order to keep the gods from panicking the gods and goddesses with the most influence decided to keep the information a secret.
However, Drake the god of darkness and holder of the universal law of darkness, his influence was also among the highest gods. 'That bastard will be beneath my feet!' Drake thought as he narrowed his eyes. Victoria glanced at him for some time before she shook her head.
"You can think about your revenge later. I'm sure there will be another meeting of gods, if that man really is alive then we need to be prepared for an unexpected attack." Victoria said as she calmly walked through the corridor of the passageway. Drake didn't say anything and silently followed after her.
It wasn't just Victoria and Drake who had sensed the aura of death, all other gods and goddesses also sensed the aura of death. Inside a beautiful, lush forest of greenery there stood a beautiful youthful woman standing in a meadow of flowers. The woman had a beautiful almond shaped eye, bright green, emerald pupils and a small, chiseled nose and small pink lips.
The woman's hair was bright green and cascaded down to her waist, her hair was also decorated with various flowers embroidery on either side. A green gown with various flower patterns on the dress as designed clung tightly around her body as she stared at the flowers with a lovely smile on her face.
The woman's body occasionally released a bright green aura that seem to engulf the flowers. Whenever the flowers are embraced by that mysterious green radiance the flowers bloomed and straightened as they're petals gracefully opened up as though they were rejuvenated.
The woman was the goddess of nature, the one who controlled and protects nature in the entire world.
"Continue to grow and fill this world with your beautiful splendor." She muttered to herself. Tiny ball of light with various colors danced around her body.
The lights moved as though they were alive and were worshipping her. The goddess of nature, Flora reached out her hand and gently held the ball of lights as their warm radiance filled her hand.
The lights were low ranked spirits that had yet to develop a consciousness of their own, they are instinctively drawn to her aura of nature, as though they were an infant who were drawn to their parents.
However, suddenly Flora frowned as her thin shapely eyebrow narrowed faintly.
"... Th-This aura..." She muttered. It was an unpleasant aura that went against her own nature. Her aura of nature revitalized the plants and replenish their energy, while the aura of death drains the life energy from all living beings in the surrounding.
In the past Flora never got along with Hendrix because of their different concepts, he eradicates and drains life, while she replenishes life.
"Hendrix is still alive." Flora swept the strands of her hair behind her ears as a gust of wind swept through the forest.
For some reason Flora felt a feeling of melancholy as she imagines the peace, she was so accustomed to will soon vanish.
And as though answering her inkling a telepathic communication was established between her and another God.
{Lady Flora you should have also sensed that aura a moments ago, we are holding another meeting of gods in the next ten minutes, we are expecting your participation.}
A muscular voice sounded inside her ear, Flora could only sigh as she responded.
{Understood, I shall be there in five minutes.}
{Good, if you run into any other gods or goddesses along the way please inform them of the situation.}
{Got it.}
The telepathic communication was then disconnected. Flora once again heaved a heavy sigh as she kept releasing her aura onto the plants.
...
Meanwhile, inside a room Raiden was flipping through the pages of his "Book of predictions" With an ugly expression on his face. Even now that bad future had not disappeared, quite the contrary, that future is even worst!
"Damn you Lize! To think you would actually help that brat, if things continue like this then..." Raiden closed the book in his hand and sighed in frustration as he glanced outside the window.
"If that boy continues to live then... that man's Resurrection won't be that far away from becoming reality!" His angary voice resounded inside the room.
...
In another room...
Isis's heart was pounding loudly as her lifeless eyes finally regain their shine, her red lips curved upwards as she glanced outside the window.
standing a fair distance behind her the black-haired maid sighed as she saw Isis's listless demeanor suddenly change, she could also feel the aura of death which sent a shiver down her spine.
'So, he is actually alive after all... doesn't that means the reincarnation cycle is now active?' She wondered. That had been a great deal of worry for the gods as without the reincarnation cycle, it was impossible to maintain, "Order" Of not only the entire planet, but also the universe. Which will eventually cause the being from the upper realm to notice this irregular occurrence.
Aside from Hendrix the only other being capable of manipulating the reincarnation cycle was Isis. But after his death she had went into a state of depression and had refused to listen to anyone after that incident.
"... It's him! It really is my brother!" She said happily, as her face brightened. A feeling of relief suddenly filled her heart. As the goddess of life, someone who comprehend the concept of life the opposite of the concept of death, she was really sensitive to the aura of death.
"Let's go, Diana." Isis said as she got to her feet. The black-haired maid who goes by the name Diana nodded her head.
it felt strange seeing her master this enthusiastic. But it was something she really missed. Isis went to her door and opened it with a graceful motion, and as she was about to step out a stout man suddenly blocked her path.
"... C-Can you move aside? I need to go." Isis said, a smile still adorn her lips. The man before her was a god who held a lesser divinity and was low ranked among the gods.
The man was dressed in an extravagant clothing and had short black hair, his eyes were both closed as though he was blind, but despite that he could see clearly.
"Unfortunately, I can't... I received orders to keep you contained here until the meeting of gods is over." The man said, rather uncomfortably. However, upon hearing his words the beautiful smile on Isis's face gradually receded until it had completely disappeared.
And after a moment of silence, she opened her mouth and said, "Excuse me... did you just say you were ordered to keep me contained?"
"Y-Yes, lady Isis there is an important meeting taking place right now. I would really appreciate it if you cooperated." The man was sweating bullets as he felt her murderous intent. He didn't need eyes to tell she was looking at him with clear disdain.
He really wanted to complain to the higher ups about allowing him to do this, this woman was already known as a monster and yet they sent him right into the monster's territory. Standing behind Isis Diana had a frown on her face as she notices the situation was not good at this rate, she wouldn't be surprised if Isis lost her cool and attack!
"Enough, move aside!" Isis said, rather coldly. However, the man didn't move even if she was a high-ranking goddess, he couldn't disobey his order which was to keep her away from the meeting.
Seeing him stay unmoving Isis was stunned, her silver eyes shone with a peculiar glint. 'Th-This guy, could it be that he doesn't know who he is in front of?' She wondered.
It was worth mentioning that all gods and goddesses even those who are at similar rank as her treat her with the utmost respect!
And yet a mere lesser god who wasn't even half her age was being disrespectful to her! Isis narrowed her silver eyes dangerously, as her body was suddenly surrounded by a silver aura.
Even though it's been thousands of years since she had secluded herself inside her room, it seems everyone had forgotten the true meaning of "goddess of life" In that case,
"Then I shall make you remember!" She declared!
