When Lize said those words for a moment the entire room became silent. Kenta was still seated on the ground. His skin now had strange and unfamiliar tattoos on the surface of his skin.
Unlike before for some strange reason the tattoos didn't disappear when the faint radiance went out.
It also didn't fully cover his body either. The tattoos only cover his arms, chest and back!
"This... what is this? Just what is happening to me?" Kenta asked as he got to his feet. Lize stayed silent for some time before she opened her mouth.
"Those are the same tattoos that once adorned Hendrix's body, don't worry they aren't harmful, if anything this is a good thing for you." Lize said as she observed the marking on Kenta's body.
"This is a sign that the divinity is slowly becoming stronger, you can feel it, can't you? The aura of death coursing through the markings on your body." Lize said as she stared at Kenta's countenance.
Then Lize gently raised the sleeves of her gown and showed Kenta her gorgeous snow-white skin. However, on the surface of her skin were various tattoos which subtly glowed with a pink radiance. "This is something all beings who have comprehend some form of concept and had received divinity possess." Lize explained.
Kenta remained silent as he tried processing what Lize had just said. Indeed, it was as she said. He could feel a peculiar energy coursing through every inch of his body.
This feeling felt so distant to him and yet, it felt familiar at the same time. 'How strange, my body also feels much lighter now.' Kenta narrowed his eyes in confusion as he notices that. [
Master, it seems your physical body had also strengthened slightly.] Agni said.
'Eh, Agni your awake! Why haven't you been responding to me?!' Kenta inquired, curiously.
[Oh, sorry about that I needed to be cautious of that woman. I didn't want to take the chances of her discovering your location.] Agni responded, apologetically.
However, it's words only left Kenta puzzled. 'That woman? Who are you talking about?' Kenta asked. However, before Agni could answer. "The war goddess, Victoria." Lize suddenly said. Kenta quickly summoned soul eater in his hand and raised his vigilance and prepared himself for any possible attack when he heard Lize's voice.
For a moment Lize gazed at soul eater with her beautiful pink colored eyes filled with amusement. 'That sword... soul eater interesting, its blade hadn't dulled even through the influence of the passage of time. As expected of a sword that carried Hendrix's will.' She thought to herself, her lips turned upwards into a faint smile.
"You! How can you?!" Kenta's eyes widen slightly. However, before he could finish.
"How can I hear your telepathic conversation? The answer is simple, the connection between you two are indeed strong, but it's not strong enough to block a god or a goddess from overhearing what you are talking about. Maybe when you get a little stronger." Lize explained, shrugging her shoulders.
"Though, I'm surprised that flame has a consciousness of its own as I've never heard of something like this before... Fufufufu, you really are full of surprises, aren't you." Lize brought her hand to her lips as she chuckled pleasantly. 'It really is one surprise after another with this boy, if the other gods find out about this, I can already imagine the commotion that will ensue.' She secretly thought.
"Victoria, the war goddess... what does that goddess has to do with Agni?" Kenta asked, curiously. Lize squinted her eyes and looked at Kenta before asking.
"Do you remember those statues of that woman placed all over that temple?" Kenta furrowed his brow before nodding his head. "Those statues are actually connected to Victoria through her soul. In the past she created them in order to keep an eye of her loyal worshippers, those statues also allow communication." Lize ignored the blade that Kenta had pointed at her and sat back down onto the bed as she explained, while yawning cutely.
She was starting to get sleepy, talking for so long really took up a lot of her energy. Suddenly, Lize's eyes narrowed as she observed Kenta's expression.
'What am I supposed to do now? Should I eliminate him? Or just watch how things proceed carefully? This boy is an enigma created by Hendrix. It would be troublesome to let him live and continue to grow. That big brother Raiden won't be able to sleep comfortably knowing this boy is still alive but... what about big sis Isis?' Lize heaved a sigh as she thought of the goddess of life who had lost her younger brother years ago.
Lize could still clearly remember how sad and depressed Isis was to the point that she stayed completely locked away inside her room, not bothering to do her job as the "Goddess of life"
And now the reincarnation of her beloved younger brother was now standing right before her. 'What should I do?' Lize thought with a troubled expression of her face. If Isis were to discover Kenta's existence, then she was certain she would try to protect him even if she has to go against the entire gods.
However, that wasn't all Lize was worried about as Kenta had lost his memories as Hendrix there was still the possibility that Kenta will someday regain his memories. 'If that happens then won't this boy turn his fangs against the gods and goddesses who were responsible for his death? Not to mention we still have no idea what plans Hendrix was plotting behind closed doors.' Lize thought to herself.
As expected, it was too dangerous to let him live. While Lize was contemplating on what to do next Kenta and Agni's telepathic conversation continued.
[It seems the divinity of death has completely awakened. I can sense some of your body has fully assimilated with it.] Agni explained. 'What do you mean fully assimilated?' Kenta asked.
What exactly was happening here? During the beginning Kenta was able to use the aura of death through his "Soul eater sword" But it seems his entire body now generated death aura naturally even without the use of the soul eater.
[To put it simply before you could use the aura of death through the help of your sword. However, after that goddess had killed you a few moments ago she forcefully awakened your divinity. And now you can use the aura of death even without soul eater.] Agni added.
'I-I see... this woman what is she plotting?' Kenta gritted his teeth as he glared at Lize who laid on his bed. "No need to look at me like that, like I said before it was a simple test to see whether you were that man or not. Now that we were able to confirm your true identity then there shouldn't be a problem, right?" Lize said as her lips curved upwards.
"Tch, do you think I'm going to forgive and forget the fact that you killed me just as a mere test? You killed me once then I hope you don't mind me killing you once as well." Kenta waved his hand as he created a spear made from Agni's multicolored flame and threw it towards Lize.
Swoosh!
The flame spear closed the distance in mere seconds and was about to pierced through Lize's forehead. However, as it was inches away from making contact with her head the entire atmosphere seems to become fragmented and cracked like broken mirror.
Soon, the flame spear was swallowed up by a strange force and disappeared completely without being able to put up the slightest resistance.
"Wh... what?!" Kenta's eyes widen as he saw his flame spear being swallowed so easily. "Ara, despite your lack of memory you really are just like Hendrix... I remember he was also arrogant and hot-headed. But that was quite dangerous, and it is rude to suddenly attack a young, unarmed woman you know." Kenta's eyes widen when he heard Lize's voice whispering in his ear.
She was so close to him that he could feel her breath on his right ear. 'Tsk, as I thought the current me is really no match for a god or a goddess.' Kenta frowns in frustration as he clenches his fist. He tightly grasps the hilt of "Soul eater" as he tried to calm himself.
"... Good, it's not good to be overwhelmed with emotions. If you learn to control such feelings, then I can guarantee you will be able to grow much further from here." Lize said as she backed away from Kenta.
".... Tell me something. Why exactly did the gods turned against Hendrix?" Kenta asked, as he turned his head to looked behind him.
He was always curious about this topic, however. Unfortunately, there was no one in the current era who was aware of Hendrix's existence. The humans of this era know of him as the "God of war" Which was an incorrect title.
Lize then straightened her disheveled gown and stretched out her hand. From her palm the space distorted fiercely as an old book appeared in her hands. "This book is an old ancient book which held all the information about the gods and goddesses. If you want to know more about Hendrix, then I suggest you read this. Who knows you might also find some of his lost spells hidden in there as well." Lize said as she handed the book to Kenta.
Kenta took the book and observed Lize cautiously before asking. "Why exactly are you helping me? If I am Hendrix's reincarnation, then doesn't that mean I am technically your enemy?" Kenta asked, as he stared at Lize dubiously.
Lize remained silent for some time with a thoughtful expression on her face. It would be a lie if she said she didn't feel any apprehension towards Kenta's existence. After all he was an abnormality, a being who possess both the abilities and potential of a god and a goddess. And yet he wasn't under the same restrictions as them.
He could someday pose a problem far worse than Hendrix. Lize's instinct was telling her to kill him now before that day could come.
However, while it is true that she feared the unknown, she was also curious as well. There was a small curiosity that couldn't help but want to experience the unknown.
After living monotonously as a goddess for millions of years while witnessing the beginning of new eras and the fall of others the passage of time seems dull in comparison, it didn't matter if it was the gods or the mortals, everything was completely uninteresting to her.
Overtime Lize no longer felt the emotions she had felt in the past, her mind was completely unmotivated and humdrum.
There is a time when she even considered seeking the eternal slumber but even that was impossible as she would be reborn over time.
Only through sleeping could Lize escape this boring world. And now that an existence like Kenta was born what changes would occur if this unknown existence were to exist in this world.
Perhaps the years would no longer be as monotonous and boring anymore. It was ironic how these powerful godly being who could live until the end of time feared only one thing "boredom."
"If you must know then I'll tell you... because I believe you can show me a world far more exciting than this one, and because of that I'll help you." She answered.
...
Meanwhile, in another location two figures could be seen standing on top of a mountain covered with snow. A handsome man with slightly long blonde hair dressed in a golden armor. From his back two raven wings flapped softly behind his rear.
Hovering by his side was a beautiful woman with long glossy black-haired that cascaded to her slim waist, she donned in a beautiful silver female style armor that clung to her curvy body. From her back two white angelic wings extended and spread outwards.
They both hovered above the snowy mountain while gazing down from the sky. "This should be it." The black-haired woman, Alina said. "... Yes." The blonde-haired man, Lincoln replied. He stared down onto the mountain with a faraway look in his eyes. This place use to be the location of Hendrix's castle but now...
The entire surroundings had become completely unrecognizable.
