As the excitement from the previous match between Aurora and Jack lingered in the air two boys went onto the small stage. Kenta who stood in the distant observed their appearance with slightly narrowed eyes. A black-haired boy wearing a robe with various ornaments as decoration while holding a sword.
'That guy he seems rather experience.' Kenta thought, the black-haired boy was exuding the aura of a warrior. However, considering the fact that Kenta could sense his aura meant that their strength wasn't that far apart. However, Kenta turned his eyes towards his opponent.
Once Kenta observed his appearance, he couldn't help but frown. The young youth had slightly long white hair and wore an eyepatch around his head. Only one of his beautiful black eyes were visible, However, what mostly caught Kenta's attention was that he was completely unarmed.
"Th-That guy, is he planning on fighting barehanded?" Kenta questioned Leo who stood behind him, curiously. "Hm, oh you don't know." Leo smiled wryly as he explained. Leo then glanced at the white-haired youth and spoke. "He never used any weapons, he always won all of his battles with his fist... we still don't know a lot about his background." Kenta narrowed his eyes as he observed the white-haired youth in interest.
"I see. For now, can you tell me his name?" Kenta inquired; Leo was confused about Kenta's sudden interest in the white-haired youth but answered anyway. "His name is Ezekiel... oh and his opponent is called, Axel." Leo answered. "Ezekiel... I see." Kenta nodded his head as he memorized the name. Meanwhile, the battle between Ezekiel and Axel was now commencing. "Begin!" Erin said as he raised his hand.
Swoosh!
Once the signal of the match was given Axel closed the distance between them and swung his sword vertically. However, Ezekial skillfully moved his body out of the trajectory of the blade and landed a powerful blow to Axel's stomach. "Gouhf." Axel's body was blown away by the powerful punch to his stomach and stumbled onto his feet.
His graceful movement fell as he tried to take a stance with his sword. "Oh, his physical attacks seem rather impressive." Kenta commented as he observed their match. "Yeah, I heard he trained his body daily, so his body is really resilient against rough attacks." Leo explained. "Trained his body. uh, I wonder how I would fair against him." A grin appeared on Kenta's face as a thought came to his head.
Meanwhile, the battle between Ezekial and Axel continued. Axel continued swinging his sword to land a clean blow onto Ezekial's body. But Ezekial nonchalantly deflected his blade with the back of his hand. "Tch, take this!" Axel swung his sword horizontally creating a slash of light. However, Ezekial clenched his fist and charged towards the slash of light.
"Th-This guy, is he crazy?!" Seeing Ezekial attacking instead of trying to evade Axel questioned his sanity. Even Kenta couldn't help but question what was going on in Ezekial's head. 'Even for me, evading would be the best option in that situation.' Kenta thought, he wasn't a god, nor was he invincible. Kenta knew that a single mistake could end in his death which is why he is always cautious even while going against those weaker than him.
The spectators all held their breath as they watched Ezekial charging towards the slash of light. Aurora observed the fight closely as she sat down in the back. "Seems like this match was a waste of time." She said with disinterest.
All the woman around her thought she was talking about Ezekial. However, Aurora's silver eyes were looking at Axel with pity. Unlike everyone else here she knew exactly how strong Ezekial was and never doubted his victory.
Once Ezekial closed the distance, he swung his fist forward connecting with the slash of light!
BOOOOOM!
Once his fist had made contact with the slash of light it exploded dramatically and dispersed. "Wh-What! Impossible!" Axel exclaimed. He had sent a large amount of magical energy into that attack. Seeing how easy his attack was destroyed he questioned his eyes.
Kenta's eyes widens as he observed the scene before him. 'This guy, it's not just physical strength but he is also really fast.' Kenta squinted his eyes. It was only a second, but he was sure that in the split second before Ezekial's fist made contact with the slash of light Ezekial released a large quantity of magical power into his fist. It was his magical power that connected with the slash of light.
"Impressive." Kenta couldn't help but mutter aloud, he wanted to fight him to see how he faired against someone like him. 'I.... I need to get stronger, even the strongest mortal is nothing before a demigod or a god... If I want to live in peace so that no one ever dare to go against me again I need absolute power, enough power to completely control everything!' He thought.
His revenge is his top priority, as long as he has his revenge then he was going to aimed to obtain even greater power. Kenta clenched his fist as he thought about the future. However, little did he know that his unforeseeable future was going to be filled with even more hardships than he thought.
...
Meanwhile, on the outside of the temple of power....
A spatial rift opened up in the vacant sky. A young pink-haired girl stepped out while rubbing the corners of her eyes. Down below her was the majestic temple of power that stretched for several kilometers. "This place... ah I see. I'm surprise this temple is still in good condition after that woman abandoned this place so many years ago." Lizy muttered listlessly.
For a moment her eyes shone with a peculiar light as though she was remembering old times. "... Hm, the aura of death ended out here. It doesn't seem as though that boy had used the aura of death since his time in that city. In that case then that woman shouldn't have found out about his existence, not yet at least." She said while narrowing her eyes at the statues of the war goddess.
"I should be careful, if she is still connected to those statues then the moment, I used my abilities she will be alerted of my presence." Lizy said as her body was enveloped in a strange energy that completely hid her presence.
While Lizy wasn't a goddess of a high status, nor do she have any divinity that specialized in any of the stronger concepts. She was the best at stealth and concealment. If she is serious then even the true gods from the higher realms would have a hard time finding her.
After she used her divinity of concealment, she went inside the temple of power completely unnoticed by the guards standing by at the entrance.

Meanwhile, back inside the classroom the match between Ezekial and Axel was slowly reaching its climax. Axel continued firing slashes of light. However, Ezekial continued to deflect them as he closed the distance between them.
Watching all of his attacks being easily parried barehanded Axel grimaced as he charged with his sword braced. When the distance between them is closed Axel thrust the blade of his sword. But Ezekial easily brushed away the blade of his sword.
"Sorry, but this one is going to hurt!" Ezekial said as he lunged his fist into Axel's chest, Axel's body was sent flying backwards as his mouth inadvertently opened as blood flowed out. The force from the punch generated a powerful shockwave that blew Axel's body out of the stage as he crashed against the barrier and fainted.
Erin quickly checked the condition of Axel's body and saw that he was knock unconscious. 'Hmm... this boy did he attack the inside of his body using shockwaves?' Erin thought, he had notice that the insides of Axel's body had taken a great amount of damage, as blood could be seen from the corners of Axel's lips and even his nose was bleeding profusely.
Soon, specialist who were expert in healing magic came inside and took Axel's unconscious body away. While watching this Kenta couldn't help but sigh. 'These people are quite harsh.' He thought. He had heard from Emerson himself that they believed in the concept of "Only the strong survives, while the weak dies" After hearing that Kenta knew things were going to be quite difficult training here.
After that many other battles took place one after another. The numbers of students gradually decreased as the loser was sent out to recover from their injuries. Finally, after roughly Five hours it as finally Kenta and Leo's turn to have a mock battle.
"... Well shall we go?" Leo who stood beside him suddenly said. Kenta remained silent for some time before he walked towards the stage. "Oh, so it's finally his turn." Aurora's silver eyes shone as she looks at Kenta departing figure. "Ara, sister could it be that you actually have an interest in a boy your age?" A young girl who bears a striking resemblance to Aurora said.
Aurora glanced at her younger sister, Silvia and uttered. "Don't be ridiculous." Aurora snorted as she turned away. However, "Hehe he." Silvia only giggled cutely as she saw her sister's reaction. "Begin!" Erin signals the starting of the match. Leo unsheathes the sword at his waist.
The blade of his sword was completely black as well as its hilt, Leo charged towards Kenta and swung his sword diagonally sideways.
However, the blade of his sword was easily block by Kenta's rapier. Leo twisted his body as he slashes his sword continuously towards Kenta's direction.
'Hmm... what is he doing?' Seeing Leo swinging his sword constantly without even trying to make contact with Kenta he couldn't help but furrow his brow in confusion. However, something unnatural happened after that. Multiple slashes of black light were sent towards Kenta's direction.
He was completely surrounded from all sides. Kenta observed all of the black lights calculated their angles and trajectory. "It seems like evading is impossible," He deduce after observing them all. If evading is impossible then the only option left is, attack! Kenta went on the offensive and slashes with his sword cutting down all of the lights coming towards him.
"Guh." Though his face grimace as some parts of his body was struck by the lights closing in on him from all sides. "Huh?" Seeing Kenta closing in on him Leo instinctively swung his sword. However, Kenta easily deflected his sword and sent it flying into another direction.
Soon, the blade of his sword pointed at Leo's neck, making him freeze. "End the match, Kenta is the victor!" Erin declared. Kenta then sheaths his sword and was about to leave. "He-Hey, Kenta." Leo called out. Kenta's movements came to a halt as he looked over his shoulders. "Let's go again, if you don't mind." Leo said warmly as he stretched out his hand. Kenta observed his outstretched hand before reaching out his own with a faint smile. "... Sure." Kenta replied.
Meanwhile, Aurora observed Kenta from the distance. 'Was it just my imagination? I'm sure I felt something inside his aura.' Aurora frowned as she thought something was wrong. 'Maybe I should continue to observe him before approaching him.' She thought as she walked away.
The class continued for several hours after that; Kenta trained alongside the others as they were taught various sword techniques before they were allowed to leave for lunch. Kenta wasn't interested in eating alongside anyone else, so he decided to go back to his room for the time being.
"Ah, you are finally here, I've been patiently waiting for you." As Kenta went inside his room, he heard an unfamiliar voice. Turning his head, he saw a small young pink-haired girl lying lazily on his bed. "Hehe he... no need to look at me like that. I came all the way here to exchange words with you, reincarnation of the god of death. Or should I say. long time no see, Hendrix." The young pink-haired girl said with an amused smile on her face.
