"... You!" Kenta raised his eyebrow as he saw the pink-haired girl lying on his bed. Lizy remained silent as she observed the young blonde-haired boy before her.
'Interesting, he is weaker than I thought... though if he really got reincarnated then him losing some of his strength isn't really that strange.' She thought to herself. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Kenta asked, narrowing his eyes.
He couldn't help but frown when he saw the pink-haired girl before him lying down in a relaxed manner while not caring about his stare.
'Strange, I can't sense her aura, does this mean she doesn't have any magical power, or is she stronger than me?' Kenta wondered. He couldn't quite understand the existence of the young pink-haired girl before him. However, Kenta raised his vigilance as he observed her cautiously.
"Fufufu, there is no need to be on guard you know, even though you are weak I promise I won't bite." Lizy said with a bright smile on her face. Lizy was observing Kenta with a scrutinizing gaze as though she found something very interesting. 'He is clearly human, and yet his aura is that of a newborn god, or rather a demigod. But still his body is that of a mere mortal how exactly is his body able to withstand the pressure of divinity without dying?' Lizy's curiosity was piqued.
"Is that so? And do you expect me to believe you after you broke into my room uninvited?" Kenta asked, while as he smiled coldly. "Fumu, you are right I do apologize for my rudeness. Ahem, let me introduce myself... I am Lize, the goddess of concealment." Lize said with a cordial smile.
"Wh-What, did you just say goddess?" Kenta's face cramp as he heard that. After he had first saw this girl for some strange reason, he really didn't like her. However, this feeling he had was something that seem to be born directly from the depths of his soul.
It wasn't something he could really explain, it was as if something inside him felt repulsion just by the mere mention of the gods. "Oh, it doesn't seem you have a very good impression of us." Lize said amusedly. "Does this mean you still have your memories?" Lize inquired, curiously. "My memories... If you are asking about Hendrix's memories then no, I don't have them." Kenta answered indifferently.
While she looked reluctant Lize sat up on the bed and observed Kenta's expression carefully. "You don't have his memories, in that case can you tell me how you know about him, then?" Lize asked, curiosity laced in her voice. "... Let's just say I met an old friend of his." Kenta answered, ambiguously. Kenta had heard about the "god of death" Hendrix from Elena, the spirit he had met in his dream. However, he decided not to disclose that information. Even if he was sure Lize won't attack him he still didn't fully trust her he had yet to fully understand her character after all. Lize squinted her eyes as she notices Kenta was hiding information from her.
However, she simply shrugged her shoulders as she had no plans to force the information out of him using force, that would be really troublesome and tiresome after all.
"... I see. So, you don't have your previous memories, but you do know that you are a reincarnation. I can see that your strength has also weakened significantly as well." Lize got up from the bed and slowly approached Kenta, she circled around him like a small animal observing something strange for the first time.
"You really are an unusual existence." Lize said as she stared at him intensely. "Oh, and what is so strange about me?" Kenta asked, curiously. Lize then stood before Kenta and explained. "Usually, when a god is reborn, they lose all of their previous powers and abilities, and their souls would go to sleep until they had gathered enough power to return to their former glory. I've never heard of a god or a goddess being reborn as an ordinary mortal while still being able to keep their previous divinity... Even though Hendrix was one of the most abnormal gods the same rule should also apply to him as well."
When a god dies, their souls would have to go through a long process of hibernation in order for the soul to slowly absorb the necessary energy to go back to its previous state.
Since a god would be reborn indefinitely as long as their souls were not destroyed, they are considered to be immortal.
Hendrix's soul was completely destroyed, after he was attack by the combined effort of the gods. Even if a small piece of his soul survived that soul fragment should have eventually come to an end over time without a vessel.
This was probably the first time in the history of the universe that a god was reborn despite the fact that the soul was destroyed. And thus, Kenta's existence was completely unnatural.
He was like a being that shouldn't have existed!
"Is that so, well I can't say with one hundred percent certainty that I am his reincarnation. I mean there is still the possibility that I am not who you think, don't you agree?" Kenta said, frowning. Lize peered at Kenta's face closely and smiled before she nodded her head. ".... I agree with you, perhaps all of this really is just a coincidence... I guess we won't know until we see your true essences." Lize uttered.
"Huh?" Kenta tilted his head in confusion at her statement. However, before Kenta could ask what she means Lize thrust her hand out at lightning speed easily piercing Kenta's heart. "Uh, Cough." Kenta suddenly coughed out a mouthful of blood as he felt pain throughout his entire body. "Y-You... Why did you? Cough!" Kenta coughed roughly as he kept vomiting out blood. "Don't worry, if you really are Hendrix's reincarnation then something like this shouldn't be able to kill you. However, if I was wrong, and you are not his reincarnation then... well you know what will happen next." Lize said as she pulled out her bloodied hand from within Kenta's chest.
From the center of his chest there was a large hole opened up there.
Kenta's vision suddenly turned dark as his body fell to the ground with a thud. "Now then let's see what happens next, I hope coming here wasn't a waste of time." Lize yawned as she muttered.
"Let's see what you truly are, if you are that man then having your heart pierced shouldn't be enough to kill you, after all Hendrix is the personification of death himself." Lize then sat back down on the bed as she observed Kenta's body for any changes. However....
Knock!
"Hey, Kenta are you in there?" The voice of Leo sounded from the other side of the door. "Too bothersome." While saying so Lize snapped her fingers. Following her gesture, the walls of the room moved unnaturally, and the knocking of the door stopped completely while Leo's voice could no longer be heard.
It was as if the entire room was sent inside an isolated space that separated it from the outside world.
With the room finally becoming peaceful Lize closed her eyes and waited.
While Lize was resting something strange was happening to Kenta's body, after his body had fell unconscious Kenta found himself outside his body, he was in a spiritual form watching his body that kept bleeding out. "Wh-What is this?" He was completely confused. His heart should have stopped beating and yet, he was still alive, just what was happening to him?
Kenta turned his gaze towards Lize who seem to be relaxing on his bed as though she had all the time in the world. Kenta couldn't help but frown, just what exactly was she waiting for?
However, while Kenta was trying to process what was happening his body was going through a great change. "Hm?" Lize also seem to sense something as she opened her eyes and raised her upper body. "Oya, it took less time than I thought." She said in delight. From Kenta's body strange tattoo like markings started to appear on his skin.
Somewhere deep inside his soul the "Divinity of death" Was doing its best to protect its current master. As Kenta now had the divinity of the god of death, he also has his strong resilient to the concept known as "Death."
Kenta watched in astonishment as the markings started to spread throughout his entire body. Soon, the hole in his chest began to repair themselves as his blood and flesh started to reattach themselves as though trying to protect his pale body from losing any more blood that kept flowing out continuously.
"Umu, so my thoughts were correct, he really is Hendrix's reincarnation. Though, that might not be a good thing for those guys who feared him." Lize muttered to herself as she approached his body. "?!" However, before Lize could reach a distance of three meters the temperature of the room suddenly rose as Kenta's body was surrounded in a multicolored flame.
Lize's pupils contracted as she felt the aura emanating from the flame. "This.... a divine flame? Impossible! Does this boy also has a flame divinity as well?" She couldn't believe what she was seeing. It wasn't impossible for a god to comprehend multiple concepts.
But there shouldn't have been any gods in the lower world who has multiple divinities.
From her knowledge Hendrix didn't have another divinity aside from his divinity of death. That wasn't all Lize recognized this divinity, 'The previous flame goddess. Caia, I recalled, why does this boy have her divinity?' Lize narrowed her eyes. 'If I recalled Caia, Maverick and Charles were the ones who confronted him before Isis captured him. But Caia was the only one who didn't return from that battle.... Don't tell me.' An incredulous thought flashed through her mind.
Lize face turned slightly pale as she muttered beneath her breath. "That man... h-he is crazy." The way she looked at Kenta was now completely different from before.
As a human Kenta wasn't under the same restrictions as the gods and goddesses, while at the same time he had the same abilities and potential as them.
Hendrix wanted to break free from the restrictions of being a god so he could no longer be under the influence of the "True gods" What was the best way to break the shackles that bound him, the answer was obvious.
He needed to rid himself of this god status, so he decided to reincarnate, as a result the abnormal existence called, Kenta was born.
He had the potential of a god, and his abilities were similar to them, but he wasn't restricted unlike the other gods. "Hendrix just what are you planning?" Lize was starting to get anxious now. He really created a monster!
While Lize was trying to sort out her own feelings, Kenta kept observing his body. He could see his wound closing until the hole was no longer visible.
Soon, he felt a sensation as though something was pulling him, and his consciousness was sent inside his body once again.
After a few seconds Kenta's eyelids twitched before he opened his eyes.
However, unlike his original blue colored eyes, Kenta's eyes were now blood red like precious ruby.
Kenta then raised his upper body and checked his chest where he was stabbed but there was nothing there.
"... I-I'm starting to understand something about your existence now." Kenta raised his head only to see Lize looking down at him as though she was looking at something truly strange.
"You're an existence who now have the potential of both a god and a goddess, in other words, you have the potential of the god of death, and the goddess of flame. Truly a peculiar being... maybe you are Hendrix's reincarnation but, you aren't him, not anymore at least. You are something else." Lize said.
