"Aah...!" I screamed and closed my eyes waiting for a mighty thud before I realized the purpose of the rope was to protect me from falling.
"You idiot what was that?" Reyvanna whispered.
"Who's there?" A loud voice rumbled. "Show yourself." The voice echoed and footsteps started to approach behind Roni and Reyvanna.
Great, now I'm going to get us caught and possibly killed.
On hearing the voice, Reyvanna quickly drew me up using the rope while Roni threw something very far away on the other side intending to cause a distraction. We hid behind water drums while my heart was beating faster than it ever did. I was worried that we might get caught and it was going to be all my fault.
Two guards made their way to where we were hiding but did not see us.
"What was that? Did you also hear it?" One asked the other.
"Yes but I don't think it came from here. I heard a loud thud on the other side."
