"Ahh, my jaw."
"Why does it hurt so much?" I said before sitting up in an unfamiliar white chair-like bed and taking in my surroundings.
"I'm in the hospital huh, at least I didn't die," I said while giving a weak laugh.
"That hurts too!" I said before leaning back in the chair. Starting at a mailbox icon with a red number one in its bubble.
As I raised my left arm I felt a jolting pain shoot up from my upper arm to my shoulder so I instantly switched to my right one. After clicking the icon a large blue screen appeared before me, which showed a white small gemstone, or was it just a very small jewel?

'An Affinity!'
[Host has a 40% chance to receive an affinity! … Host has succeeded in obtaining the Wind Affinity!]
"YES!" I shouted aloud which drew the attention of many to my room. And lead to many lowered voices which considered the possibility of brain damage while walking to my door.
[Wind Affinity has now been uploaded and sorted into possible skills available in the Skill Browser!]

Before my excitement could cause me further discomfort, two women stepped through the door and into my room;102. One was very familiar as she was the family that I had sworn to protect. My aunt, Rosa.
"It seems he's awakened, just kike we thought." The rotor had a name tag that said, Mrs. Hutson said.
"Tell him the news doctor, how do you feel, kid?" Rosa said while putting her hand on my head as if she could sense that something was off or not, but she could have just been checking for a fever.
"First my name is Jasmine Hutson, and I congratulate you on your advancement into the Golden Academy." A warm feeling sprouted inside me as she said those words. After all, I had been working hard to make it into the academy, going as far as to put my life on the line and betray my comrades for power. All just so I could know the reason why the golden had targeted me and well to grow stronger.
"Thank you," I replied before she continued.
"Secondly, I'm saddened to tell you that you'll have to miss at least two weeks of school until we can heal your injuries even with Ki. There seem to be some foreign sources blocking its healing capabilities while you were asleep." She said with a disheartening tone of voice.
'So they already tried to heal me but obviously couldn't get through either due to my system or my endurance stat works against weak Ki levels too.' I thought before I read my injuries out loud which weren't that bad, however, most of the staff's technology went down after the beasts came. Another ploy they believe was the fault of the Beast Lord and like before no scientist was willing to venture to this land just because of how much they feared it and most blueprints and discoveries were lost in that man's lab for whatever reason.
"Your lower Jaw was dislocated and almost broken along with the same effect for your left arm," Jasmine said however I felt a soothing process taking care of those areas if I had to guess it would be them healing due to a healing boost I got due to my first evolution.
"All right that is all, I will be back at a later date to check in." She said before taking her to leave.
"How's the front line going Auntie?" I asked as she took a seat on my bed and ruffed up my hair.
"It's going good we have been moving up slowly but casualties have been lower."
"Great."
"All right, get some sleep I'll be back later. I'm going to go and finally rest in an actual bed for once." Rosa said as she too left.
'How long should it take my body to heal to 100%?'
[Around four to five days, to remain hidden like the host has done then only a week would suffice even if healed fully, as it will help with your mental state.]
'Thanks, doctor. Wait, I almost forgot I still need to give you a name, I mean all helpful things have names. What about, Nora, yeah I think that's a fitting name!'
[Whatever the host commands.]
'You know Syst- Nora, I've been thinking a bit, and I kind of like being a leader. I mean just being out of their shouting order and knowing that I had a crew that could carry out the job if I failed at ease. Maybe having a few allies wouldn't be so bad, oh and I'll finally start looking for a girlfriend when I go to the Academy.' I said while staring at the ceiling and willing air to compress into my palm.
[Whatever you say, host.]
'You've saved my butt more times than I can count, I'll allow you to call me Marcel. That is my real name after all.'
[Whatever the ho- Marcel commands.]
"You know Nora, I can now use an affinity, but I have to wonder if there are people in the Golden who can do the same if not more. How crazy would that be a beast vs a bunch of wizards like a bedtime story right."
"Guess I'll just have to train harder," I said before dozing back off asleep.
Fast forward a couple of boring days of me slowly gaining more and more control of the Wind element while being stuck in bed and I had finally demanded my freedom which after a few tests I got. I mean who would want to feel the wrath of a Golden Student?
Now as I stand before the luxury building made out of white wood and hopefully fake golden designs and planks I entered the academy in a uniform, of course, however instead of the golden fist I had a copper one.
"I guess this place relies on hierarchy, what a shame there are variables like me people haven't considered," I spoke to myself with another one of my deviously charming smiles and I began walking through the halls until I finally realized I didn't know my way around this place. Or would you rather I tell it to you straight?
"I'm lost."
