Angel was pissed.
She was having fun. Ever since she woke up with no memory, this was the only time she felt a sudden rush of happiness.
But the stupid dragon protecting her spoiled it.
She could hear the cries of the men, the smell of their flesh as the stupid dragon-man burned them.
Angel touched his scales. She felt them move as her fingers glided over the groves that overlap each other.
The way he coiled around her made it impossible for light to pass through. Rather than being surrounded by darkness, she was engulfed with golden light that came from his shimmering scales.
It was fascinating.
Angel looked at the dart that was still stuck on her chest. She plucked them, the carelessly drop them on the ground.
She leaned against him. She was mad, yes, but when the gravity of the situation hit her, she was glad that the stupid dragon appeared.
All of the men were going to use the darts on her. She was not immune, but the number of doses each bullet would render her helpless.
She shivered. Angel saw the lust reflected in the leader's eyes before he ordered his men to open fire.
If the stupid dragon did not appear...
As the screams gradually stopped, so did the heavy rainfall and the howl of the wind.
Only then did the stupid dragon start to uncoil his body around her.
This would be the first time she would be seeing him up close since Angel saw him the first night they slept in Pyr's house.
When he faced her, Angel could only look at him and feel awed by the creature in front of her.
He was magnificent.
The way his scales glimmer in the waning rain gave it an illusion of a river as the droplets of rain cascade on its body.
The hair that surrounded his head remained dry, and its deer-like antlers sparkled like diamonds.
She could feel his tail slowly caressing her back supporting her. It reminded her of Pyr.
Angle took a step forward, and raised her arms. The dragon must have understood what she wanted because he brought his face close to hers.
His nose flared when he smelled the blood on her dress. Angel saw how his eyes began to have another dangerous glow on them.
So she did the only thing she knew that would work.
She hit his head.

Ven was the first one to get off, only to stop in his tracks.
In the middle of the lawn were Jin and Angel.
Behind Jin were the blackened remains of the tangos who infiltrated The Nest. While Angel looked like she wanted to skin Jin alive.
He looked up on the second floor and found Thea recording. Ven took note to ask for the copy. Right now he was interested in what was about to happen.
"Ah... Angel...you might wanna..." Whatever he was about to say was drowned by Jin's cry.
He ran. He needed to get Angel out of Jin's wrath. The audacity of this woman to heat a beast bigger than her was beyond his imagination.
His jaw dropped though when she struck him once more.
"One more shout and I will be ripping that tongue of yours from your mouth." She threatened.
Ven blinked several times when Jin snapped his mouth shut and lowered his head to the ground.
"What the…"
Angel then patted his head.
That was the scene the rest of the Crew saw when they arrived.
Jin was being patted on the head like a child.
Ven shook his head and looked at the rest of the Crew. Vo and Crackers were unconscious, and whatever was given to them must be that powerful.
"Do we have any other casualty other than them?" Ven asked.
"None, I even checked on my wolves," Skye replied. "They all went here."
Ven nodded and looked at the house. It was good that Thea stayed with the children. What he wondered was the state of the house.
He sighed. They need to go shopping again. If the unburnt body he saw outside was any indication…
The house needed a thorough cleaning.
"Man, look at that," it was Priest who pointed out what was currently happening.
Jin was on his back and Angel was straddling his body while rubbing his underbelly. There was a gentle rumble that everyone heard. Followed by the melodious laugh of the female who caused it.
There was a click of a camera, and all of them looked at Priest. They glared at him.
He shrugged and asked, "What? This is good blackmail…"
The glares intensified. All of them are waiting.
"Okay, fine!" He said, they all watched as he deleted the pictures. "Happy now?"
Ven held out his hand, a silent demand to hand over the phone.
"Seriously, vice?!"
Silence.
"Argh! Here!"
Ven accepted the phone. Only to drop it on the ground and crush it.
"Damnit, Ven! I just bought that! Why the hell do you have to destroy it?!"
The man only tilted his head to Pyr's backyard.
"The fuck.."
Comical? To some, namely to Thea. But for them? It was…unbelievable.
Jin, who just roasted a couple of men, was getting petted by a woman who threatened to pull his tongue out.
They watched as Angel laid down on him, and Jin slowly curled his long body to make sure she did not fall.
She rubbed her head on his chest before finding the right spot to settle down. There was a drizzle of rain, but from the way she cuddled against Jin, it looked like she didn't mind being wet.
Jin on the other hand lifted his head so that it acted like an umbrella. Shielding her from the rain.
All of them heard her satisfied sigh.
All of them saw Jin's puff of smoke.
However, none of them heard Angel's final words before sleep claimed her.
"Pyr…"
