The carts made their way into the castle. Unfortunately, Vael couldn't fathom how so many carts had breached the castle's formidable walls, as he was concealed within the folds of blankets. After a minute, they came to a halt. Vael cautiously poked his head out, and his eyes widened at the spectacle before him.
Numerous massive pillars supported the castle, yet the ceiling was nowhere in sight. It seemed as though the pillars were not merely holding up the castle but also preventing the sky from collapsing. These pillars, crafted from white marble, ascended into the clouds, standing resolutely tall.
On the ground lay the intricate spell design. Vael found himself unable to decipher a single character within the intricate pattern, which was adorned with thousands of these symbols. The grandeur of the hall left Vael questioning whether it could truly be classified as a hall.
He carefully looked around and saw King Maximus on a podium, he was chanting something and suddenly stopped. The clouds parted and thousands of white light balls started descending on the ground. The design had disappeared and the balls formed a small figure as soon as they touched the ground. Within 10 seconds more than 10,000 figures were standing on the ground with their eyes closed.
Slowly they opened their eyes and started looking around. 'Now!' Suddenly Vael jumped off the cart and ran towards the confused people, he stopped and slowly made his way into the middle.
"What is happening?"
"Where am I?"
"Wait! Is this the reincarnation I always read about?"
"Oh My God! I thought I died!"
"YES! It's my time to shine!"
"Do I have a system?"
Vael could hear all sorts of questions and just a minute later the people started talking with each other, most of them were excited but the rest of the population was scared.
"System Interface,"
Vael turned towards the sound and saw a person, not older than 14 widening his eyes.
"I knew it!" He exclaimed with delight.
Soon after several others followed his lead and started moving their hand in mid-air.
'What are they talking about? Is this some spell?' Vael frowned and copied them, randomly moving his hands in thin air.
"Damn it! Why is my system glitchy! What in the actual fuck?!" A frustrated voice spoke.
'What's wrong with these people?' Vael started moving again, observing all sorts of reactions. The most observable thing he noticed was the male seemed more excited than the females and almost all of them were around his age. The youngest he saw till now looked 9 or 10 and the oldest maybe 17 or 18. And the weirdest thing was he could understand them, it was as if they knew Luminithra. (language of Zephyrion)
"Hey," Vael turned towards the source of the voice and noticed a girl coming towards him with a smile, "I am Lavinia, according to this weird blue screen. Nice to meet you."
Vael immediately bowed to her, "I am Vaelorian, nice to meet you too!"
"Why are you bowing?" Lavinia laughed as she looked at Vaelorian.
Several people looked towards him. "Damn look at him, already making moves,"
"Don't you have any shame?"
"He's just being polite, give him a break."
"Yeah, don't you know Asians bow to show their respect?"
"But he doesn't look like one."
"Well, we all look different."
'Asians?' Vael furrowed his brows lightly and stood straight immediately.
"Ignore them, hey!" Lavinia lightly elbowed him, "What are your stats? Mine are so poor." She laughed.
'Stats?'
"Uhm, my system is glitchy," Vael spoke.
"Oh, don't worry give it some time. Maybe it will work." Lavinia patted his shoulder, swiped in the air, and looked at Vael again, "Apparently I am good at archery, and my skills say navigation." She sighed.
'What is happening?' Vael stared at her speechless.
"Did your system work now? Look everyone's working."
"Oh I am sorry, you are really pretty. I was distracted." Vael blushed and started looking the other way.
"Haahahha, thank you." Lavinia elbowed him again and smiled.
"Silence!" A loud voice echoed around the hall, the podium grew in size and stopped after certain seconds, everyone could see a man wearing golden robes. "I am King Maximus of continent Celestra, currently you all are on an independent planet called Zephyrion."
"What's an independent planet?" Lavinia looked at Vael.
"A planet that does not have any galaxy, it's independent," Vael answered without thinking and suddenly froze.
"Wow you are so intelligent," She spoke observing Vael.
"My skill is wisdom," Vael spoke swiping his hands in the air.
"That's so cool-"
"And I need your assistance, people from Earth." Maximus's voice washed over them. "We are suffering from the aftermath of the war, we are low in numbers, skills, scrolls, and even land and I am afraid that our continent has been breached by Elves and Dwarfs. I will provide you with all the knowledge I have, and I will make you stronger but in return please help us and our population. Provide us with everything you can and help us grow." He stopped and decided to observe them.
"Wait is he basically telling us to go and fuck ladies and have kids?"
"Man! I cannot wait to see what the women looks like."
"But wait what about Earth?"
"I just want to go home again. I remember I was sleeping and when I opened my eyes I was here!"
"Why are we against our will here? I was having the time of my life with my family. Oh, wait! Didn't I get into a crash?"
"Now that I think about it me too! I died and suddenly came here!"
Vael could hear all sorts of conversation but what seemed common among them was they all had died at one point or the other.
Vael looked around and widened his eyes when he saw one of the guys twirling a small fireball between his fingers. How? The only question that came into his mind before he was rendered speechless as he saw the same guy throwing the fireball at King Maximus.
