''Make it again!''
''Make it again!''
''Make it again!''
''Make. It. Again!''
Alison held the door of the coffee room tiredly and sighed. She looked at Ali with a pitiful gaze. As if she was on the verge of crying.
''Alison, it's alright! I will take it from here. Sit down, have some juice.'' Ali offered Alison a glass of juice and she sat down and took it.
''Say… did I mistakenly poke his tail? Why do I feel that the President has it out for me?'' Alison sipped the juice and asked.
''I was only 30 seconds late. Not a minute, just 30 seconds. He really deserve all the names they give him around here.'' Alison added.
Ali smiled. ''Be careful! He might hear you.''
Alison stood up fast and looked around. She sighed and shook her head. ''I'm tired. he should just fire me.''
Ali finished making the seventh cup of coffee and said to Alison. ''Alright! Send this one to him. He won't ask you to make another one again.''
''Really? Are you sure? Ali, he might…''
''He won't. it will be just the right temperature. Hurry…''
''Alright!'' Alison got down from the chair and picked the cup of coffee. She sighed and looked at Ali before going out.
When Alison opened the door, the room was still dark. There was an ominous feeling in the room. Alison could make a pair of two green eyes looking at her. Even though his face was now turned towards her, she still couldn't make up the face of the person sitting behind the desk.
Alison nervously placed the cup on the table and stepped back. She waited on the man as he lifted the cup to sip.
''Good!'' Just one word came out of his mouth but it felt like a heavy lift of Alison's chest.
''Thank you, President.'' Alison bowed and turned to leave.
''When you get to my house, don't touch anything and don't enter or clean the Master bedroom with the black door.''
''Yes, President.'' Alison replied and turned. She hurried out of the office and closed the door.
Walden turned on the light in the office after Alison left. He looked at the cup of coffee nonchalantly.
Alison ran to office and said to Ali. 'Ali, he accepted it. He didn't reject it this time. You were right!''
Ali smiled. ''That's good. Sit down, I have some work for you to do.''
''Alright!'' Alison smiled. She suddenly felt energetic.
…..
Alison picked her bag when it was time for lunch. She stood up from the desk and went over to Ali. ''Ali, can I ask for an extra hour break?''
''Why? Do you have something going on?'' Ali asked.
''Not really. I have to go and fill some documents at the school for my cousin.''
''You have a cousin? I didn't know that.'' Ali asked, sounding surprised.
''Yes, he is a… distant cousin who is here to stay with me. I need to go and complete some transfer documents.''
''Alright! You can take the rest of the afternoon. You are supposed to go to the CEO's house tomorrow morning, right? Just go there and don't bother coming here first.''
''Can I really take the rest of the afternoon off? I don't want to inconvenience you.''
''Don't worry, I got it! Go ahead.'' Ali said politely.
''Thank you.'' Alison bowed and hurried out of the office. When she got to the elevator, it had already taken off so she had to wait.
Looking at her watch, Alison sighed and decided to take the stairs. She walked to the door and opened it, walking down the stairs.
''Alison just left to go to the school she enrolled Alonso in.'' Ali said to Walden.
''She is really taking this role seriously.''
''We didn't give her a leeway. But I think that Miss Alison isn't so bad. She is kind and very seem carefree.''
''Don't you have work to do?'' Walden found Ali very nosy.
''Alison will be going over tomorrow morning. I will pick you up an hour earlier before she arrives. She might be there on time because she lives in the same building with you.''
''Any news from Kaada? I haven't heard from her.'' Walden looked up and asked.
''Not yet. I asked the grim reaper about her but was told she is still on her sabbatical leave. It seems she has no intention to come back anytime soon.''
''She will come back!'' Walden said confidently.
''She will come back?'' Ali asked with a confused expression.
''She must have felt the scent of her sister. It won't be long until she comes. I want to meet her first.''
''Yes, Boss.'' Ali said and bowed before leaving.
….
Outside the company building a strange woman in black outfit appeared. She had turquoise eyes and had an overbearing aura around her. When she saw Alison coming out of the company, she smiled and muttered.
''Elder sister, you are finally back! I missed you so much.'' The woman watched Alison leave in the taxi and she got inside her own Maserati and drove after the taxi.
Alison sat in the taxi and looked into her bag, searching for her phone. She found it and sighed. ''There you are. I thought I left you at the office.''
Alison smiled and turned. She saw the Maserati driving just beside her car. When she met the woman's gaze, she muttered.
'Whoa! She looks so beautiful. Like a modern day goddess.'' Alison flushed when she found the woman looking at her.
The woman smiled at Alison and said to her. 'Alison, see you soon!''
''Huh?'' Alison was about to ask the woman how she knew her name but the woman drove away before she could even ask.
''Do you know her?'' The driver asked.
''No! I don't know her.''
''I thought you two knew each other.''
''No, I doubt we do.'' Alison furrowed her brows and sighed. A lot of strange things have being happening around her lately. But she was still yet to figure out what exactly was going on.
San Jose Senior High.
Alison got down from the taxi and looked at the school. She held her bag securely and walked inside.
