''What is she doing here? Does she really take herself to be the guardian of our son? This lady is unnecessarily brave.'' Alonso's mother said as she walked behind Alison towards the school's administration.
''Be grateful that she decided to take Alonso. Thanks to her, our son now has human relations. She gave him her last name and even got him to go to school. Have you forgotten it was always Alonso's dream to go to school like everyone else?'' Alonso's father said.
''What is there to be grateful for? She is doing that in exchange for her life. Thanks to her, we are dead. We can't be with our son anymore.''
''Shouldn't you be grateful that Walden spared your son's life? How dare you blame my sister for your death when you brought it upon yourself?'' Kaada said as she leaned against the wall.
When Alison heard her speak, she turned and now saw her. She remembered her from the roadside.
''Oh! Maserati?'' Alison said and flushed. ''I… I'm sorry.'' Alison bowed.
''No, it's alright!'' Kaada replied with a smile. She turned to look at the two pigs that had bowed and said to them. ''Scram from here!''
''Scram! I… I just got here.'' Alison said and bit her lips nervously. The lady's eyes seemed fearful when she said those words.
''No, not you. I wasn't speaking to you. I'm sorry, did I scare you away?'' Kaada asked and touched Alison's hand.
''No, I'm fine.'' Alison smiled awkwardly.
''I am Kaada, the Principal of the school. Do you have a ward in this school or…'' Kaada asked.
''Huh? Yes, I…'' Alison couldn't stop looking at the woman. she was so beautiful in her eyes but that wasn't all. She felt a strange connection to her.
''My cousin is here and I came to fill the rest of the transfer documents. You are the Principal? You are so young.'' Alison said.
''I am the owner of the school. That's not all, I also have a lot of other buildings and money.'' Kaada held Alison's hand and pulled her closer and whispered. ''If you ever need money for anything, just come to me, elder sister.''
''Elder sister?'' Alison asked and stepped back.
''Sorry, I got carried away. Come with me.'' Kaada said and turned towards the office.
Alison found the woman very strange but she didn't say anything and followed her into the office. When she entered, she saw a frame of two women on the table. They looked so much like each other.
''Sit down, Miss Davis! I will serve you some water first.'' Kaada said and turned to grab a glass.
Alison's hands quivered when she looked at the smiling face of the other woman. it was as if she was smiling at her. Alison walked closer and picked the frame up. She touched the woman's face and a wave of sadness clouded her.
''Miss Davis… are you alright?'' Kaada turned and asked. She placed the glass of water she had poured on the table and touched Alison's hand.
Alison came back to her senses and placed the frame back. She touched her face and saw the tears. ''I…''
''You are crying? Why?'' Kaada asked carefully.
Alison shook her head. ''I'm sorry… I, I don't know why.'' Alison looked confused. This was the first time she reacted this way to a picture of someone she didn't even know.
''Sit down and have some water.'' Kaada said and picked the water for Alison.
''Thank you!'' Alison sipped the water and forced a smile. ''I startled you, right? I'm sorry, this has never happened to me before. I don't know why…'' Alison turned to look at the picture.
''Kaadie. That's her name. She is my elder sister and the one I used to do a lot of things with. We were always together until…''
''You are using the past tense. What happened to her?'' Alison asked curiously as she placed the glass on the table.
''She is no more. She died a long time ago because she fell in love with the wrong man. The man couldn't protect and I was late.''
''I… I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to remind you.''
''No, it's alright! You kind of reminded me of her when I saw you outside. She has the same beautiful incense aura that you have.''
''I don't understand.''
''Has anyone ever told you that you smell like burning incense? I mean, you aura gives off something that has to do with the kind of incense burnt at festivals, and during other occasions.''
''I hear that a lot. Someone once told me I smell like the burning incense used to ward of bad spirits, and send off dead people.'' Alison said and chuckled.
''Really? But I didn't mean that in a bad way.''
''I know, don't worry. I don't find it offensive. I actually sometimes feel the same way. It's like my own life has being long gone and I was just living someone else' life.'' Alison chuckled and clasped her hands.
Kaada smiled and stood up. She picked a file from the table and went back to her seat. 'Here, you just need to sign these papers and the transfer will be done.''
''Alright!'' Alison placed her bag on the side and took the pen from Kaada. She quickly signed the papers and handed them back to her.
''It's that all?'' Alison asked.
''Yes, that will be all for now. Remember, 'Alison… you signed these yourself!''' Kaada said and Alison looked at her with a confused gaze. ''I mean, your ward will be treated fairly and the school will not allow anything happen to him since you personally signed the documents. I will put these away first.'' Kaada stood up and smirked. She placed the documents on the table and turned back with a smile.
''Oh, that's what you mean?'' Alison chuckled. She was confused by her earlier statement.
''So, Alison tell me about yourself? I feel that we have a lot in common. Just wanted to know you more.'' Kaada asked.
''There is nothing much to know about me. I work at Kenji Motors and my name is Alison Davis.''
Kaada suddenly felt a shift in the room and frowned. She looked at Alison and said. ''Thank you for coming, Miss Davis. I will give you a call soon.''
''Alright! Thanks for the water.'' Alison picked her bag and stood up.
Kaada followed her to the door and waited until Alison was out before she closed it. When she did, she asked.
''Took you long enough to find me, Walden?''
