Meanwhile inside the penthouse, Walden was looking at the phone with a strange gaze. He was very sure that the phone he picked was his but now it wasn't his again.
He looked at the phone and muttered, ''she didn't even put a password on her phone.''
Walden looked at the phone curiously and tapped the gallery. As soon as he opened, the picture of his mother and Alison popped up.
Walden zoomed on the picture and laughed. ''So, she is Alison Davis? You really did make us meet, mother? But, what to do? She is going to die anyways.''
Walden threw the phone on the sofa and stood up. He went to his room to take a shower.
…..
Alison shook her head when she realized she was dozing off. She looked outside the bus and frowned.
''Where are we? This is not the way to the city?'' Alison looked up at the driver and felt a chill all of a sudden.
She met with the gaze of the driver and her hands quivered. Alison looked away immediately and held her bag tightly.
''What is going on?'' She muttered and her eyes settled on the phone in her hands. Alison typed out a message.
''Please help me…''
When she was about to send the message, the bus suddenly stopped and her body flew forward. The phone fell from her hands.
Alison fell on the bus. She looked up and saw the driver stepping out of his seat. Alison hurriedly picked the phone and tapped on the sent button before she dialed her number.
She had sent the message to her phone in hopes that the man would see it. She had a feeling that the man was warning her because of something like this and she also believed that the man could save her.
From the first moment he stepped down passed her, Alison knew he wasn't human. He carried a strange aura, which was different.
Growing up with nanny granny, Alison had heard about stories of people who lived in their world. She always believed her nanny granny even when she didn't understand anything.
Her nanny granny died on her birthday but it wasn't a natural death. She had seen everything and even though many years have passed, she still couldn't get that scene out of her head.
She remembered the man who killed her nanny granny was not a human being. Then again, even her nanny granny didn't seem like a human being. There were a lot of strange things about her nanny granny but she didn't have the chance to ask before she passed away.
Alison's body became weak and she couldn't do anything even though she was struggling. The man had chanted something and it made her weaker by the second.
Alison watched helplessly as the man carried her away. Her eyes strained on the phone before shutting close.
….
Walden came out of his room and went to the kitchen. He opened the top of it and removed a bottle of water. He unscrewed it and turned towards the hall.
Walden stopped when he saw the phone going off. He went and picked it up and it went off.
''She don't even remember to charge her own phone.'' Walden muttered and sent the phone to his room to charge.
''Ali, find out where my phone is.'' Walden said into the landline at his bedside side.
''Yes, boss!''
Walden placed the bottle of water on the table and turned. He suddenly heard two different voices.
''Is she really the bride of the demi god? Will her blood really make us immortal?''
''There is only one way to find out.''
Walden's eyes turned a shade of red and small fangs appeared on both fingers. His teeth clutched with a force.
The atmosphere of the room changed. Walden looked at himself in the mirror and frowned. He shook his head and muttered.
''It's not even midnight yet, what is wrong with me?''
''Boss…'' Ali rushed into the room with Walden's phone in his hand.
''Found it?'' Walden came back to his senses and asked. Everything changed back to normal.
''I found it on the bus. How did your phone get to the bus?'' Ali asked.
''She must have being taken away then.'' Walden muttered.
''What are you talking about?''
''That woman I told you about. She is the human my mother left me to go and take care of.''
''You finally found her?''
''She was hiding so well all these years. Why did she suddenly appear before me? What exactly is this old woman planning?''
''Boss, the scene looked bloody. Is she…''
''She was captured by the pig clan. They want to sacrifice her and use her blood to become immortal. Even after living for 300 years, that clan still want to be immortal.''
''Then, boss…'' Ali became worried.
''Let it be. If it is her fate, we can't stop it.''
''You can't stop it or you won't stop it?'' A lady with captivating eyes appeared in the room and asked.
''Lady Lucia, you are here…'' Ali bowed.
''Leave us alone, Ali!'' Lucia said as she went to sit on the only chair in the room.
''Lucia, this is my bedroom. Didn't I tell you to stop appearing here anytime you want to talk?'' Walden shot Lucia a glare before going out.
''Then be in the hall. You are always inside here, where else do you want me to come to? That is not why I am here. Alison, she is my friend. You must save her!''
''Then, go save her.''
''I can't. I used up all my powers in exchange for my beauty.'' Lucia blocked his way.
''I can reverse it if you want.''
''Walden…''
''What?''
''Please, don't let anything happen to Alison. More than anyone, you will regret it the most.''
''What do you mean?''
''She…''
''She… what?'' Walden gave Lucia a warning gaze.
''She has the soul of your late wife. That's why those demons are after her. They are after her soul, don't you get it? When Kaadie died, your mother wanted to preserve her soul. Even if she couldn't come back to life, her soul would be able to live again. That's why she left you and went to that family. She was looking for a suitable human being whose soul matched with that of Kaadie and she found it in Alison.''
''What?'' Walden's face changed.
''I'm sorry but aunt made me promise her not to tell you.''
