"I want five knights surrounding her Majesty, and they all should be alert" said Mero to some knights as they nodded and he sighed internally, sure he was going to be there with Wura, but her safety was his first concern and nothing more.
"Do you not think that five knights will be too much? Her Majesty would not like so many guards around her" said Nora as she walked behind Mero and he turned to look at her as she had overheard his orders.
"Well she is just going to have to learn how to deal with it" replied Mero.
"She is going to meet the leader of the East, of course she will be well protected" said Mero.
"My duty is to protect her, no matter what" said Mero as Nora did agree with him.
"Are you coming along?" asked Mero as he looked at her and she nodded her head.
"I go wherever her Majesty goes" said Nora.
"In that case stay close to me" said Mero.
"Alright" said Nora as she nodded her head and the sound of the horns blowing could be heard once again, but this time they were louder and closer than ever.
"They are here" said Mero as he looked at the entrance of the camp that the guards were watching closely.
"I will go and get her Majesty" said Nora as Mero nodded.
…
"My Queen, please listen to me, stay close to me I beg you" said Mero.
"I hear you Mero, stop speaking to me as if I do not know what I am doing, I am a full grown woman" said Wura as she and Mero walked and Nora followed behind them as five knights surrounded them.
"I apologize my Queen, but you must understand that this is a dangerous" said Mero.
"Yes, yes, I know Mero, I know" replied Wura.
"Move over" said Wura to the guards as they nodded and moved away as she stepped into the valley and out of the camp to see several people standing afar off with horses and troops as Wura narrowed her eyes at the scene in front of her as two knights walked to stand in front of her as she frowned.
"Please move away I cannot see" said Wura as the knights ignored her and they did not move at all.
Wura frowned as she turned to look at Mero who sighed.
"Move for her Majesty" said Mero as the guards moved and Wura scoffed internally as she walked ahead.
"I thought you said that they wanted to speak to us?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero who did not exactly know what was going on either.
"We want to be sure that this is no trap, we need your word that you will not attack" came the voice of a man as Mero scoffed, they said so and yet here they were with troops while they only had five knights with them.
"I give you my word that we will not attack you , so as long as you do not attack us" said Wura.
"And who are you that we should trust your word?" asked the man.
"I am the Queen of Wyverdale, and I give you my word that none of you will be attacked, we are only going to speak to one another, right?" asked Wura as she saw the man nod his head as he looked back and whispered.
"Alright then" said the man as he stood back and so did the other troops as a tall dark man with dark hair and brown eyes walked out of their midst as he stepped forward and Wura narrowed her eyes at him, wondering if he was their leader, he seemed to be.
"Ahhh so you are the famed Queen of Wyverdale, I have heard so much about you, it Is nice to finally meet you" said the man as he smiled and Wura walked ahead to look at him closer, but she stood at a distance as Mero wanted to pull her back but Nora stopped him from doing so, knowing fully well that Wura would be upset with him if he interfered.
"I cannot say the same for you" said Wura as the man just laughed, he looked very calm, Wura did not know if it was a good thing or a bad thing.
"Are you the leader of the East rebels?" asked Wura as the man smiled at her and shone his teeth.
"That I am" said the man with a smile as Wura felt like he looked very young.
"May I know your name?" asked Wura as from what she could see it did not seem like he was here to fight.
"Olamide Ti de" replied the man with a smile and a wink as Wura scoffed and Mero narrowed his eyes at him as Olamide ignored him.
"I doubt that is truly your last name" said Wura.
"And what makes you think so?" asked Olamide with a smile.
"I believe that your name is Olamide, but your last name cannot be Ti de because it simply makes no sense" said Wura.
"Oh, you seem to be quite an intelligent woman… tell me Queen of Wyverdale, what is your name?" asked Olamide with a smile and curiosity written all over his face.
"My name is Wura Lily Wyverdale, Queen of Wyverdale" said Wura as there was a look of recognition on Olamide's face.
"Wura, as in Diwura?" asked Olamide with a smile as Wura nodded.
"Yes" replied Wura.
"Ahhh I said it, I knew it, you are one of us I knew it well, you do not look like them" said Olamide as he laughed in joy as if he had heard the best news of his life as Wura just watched him closely.
"And what Is that supposed to mean?" asked Wura.
"I did not mean it in offence Diwura, I am just overjoyed to meet one of our own on the other side"
said Olamide with a smile as Wura said nothing.
"Se bo ede wa? (Do you understand our language?)" asked Olamide as he switched his language.
"Kilo ro? (What do you think?)" asked Wura as his face lit up.
"Ahhh you truly are wonderful, you are my sister" said Olamide as he was overjoyed, not only did he looked like them with her slightly darker skin, but she also spoke their language as well.
"If I truly am your sister as you say, then you would not be doing this" said Wura as she decided to switch back to a language that everyone could hear.
"No, I would, you are the one that is on the wrong side" replied Olamide with a smile.
"Tell me, who taught you how to speak our language?" asked Olamide out of pure interest.
"My mother taught me" said Wura.
"What a woman she must be then, not forgetting her culture and where she came from" said Olamide with a smile as Wura just looked at him.
"She never forgot" said Wura.
"And yet she betrayed her people and followed the Wyverdanians, just another one of those people who do not appreciate where they come from" said Olamide.
"You know that Is a lie, if things were better for them in their own land, they would see no reason to leave" said Wura as Olamide chuckled.
"I admire the way you speak so boldly of something you know nothing about" said Olamide.
"I doubt you know either" said Wura.
"I really enjoyed speaking with you Wura, it Is not every day that I get to meet someone as interesting as you" said Olamide with a smile.
"I wish that I could say the same" said Wura as Olamide just smiled.
"I want to know why you started this rebellion for no reason at all" said Wura as she was done with their little talk, it was time that they spoke about serious matters.
"You really think that this is all for nothing?" asked Olamide with a scoff.
"Well is it not?" asked Wura as Olamide laughed.
"No, you are wrong this is not all for nothing Queen Wura" said Olamide with a slight smile on his face as Wura looked at him, wondering what he meant by that, she was did not get why he started all of this he was the one who wanted war, he was the leader, she wanted to know his motive.
He looked like a very young man, she had expected someone older, but here he was, not that she was discriminating against age, but this was something else.
Wura looked at Mero who just looked at her and stayed quiet as he let her speak, he did not want to undermine her authority in anyway, less she would be angry with him.
"Then tell me why you started all of this?" asked Wura as Olamide just smiled at her.
"It simple, you stole our land" said Olamide as Wura looked at him in nothing but utter confusion.
