The next morning.
"My Queen, but when I left you I thought that you would go to bed and not go wandering around the Castle in the middle of the night" said Nora as she was upset.
To think that as soon as she had left, Wura had gone on an adventure of her own that ended with her needing bedrest for her sprained ankle.
"Nora I know, and I am sorry, but I could not sleep, so I decided to go out for a walk to get some fresh air" replied Wura as she had a guilty look on her face, Nora did not look pleased at all, and who could blame her, she would have to be the one to take care of Wura while she was to stay in bed.
"And in the process you hurt your foot and now you cannot walk" said Nora as she shook her head, Wura was lucky that she was her Queen, or else, she would have scolded her more than this.
"I really am sorry Nora, I did not intend to hurt my foot at all" said Wura as Nora sighed and adjusted the pillow that was underneath Wura's right foot.
"How does your foot feel my Queen?" asked Nora as she knew that scolding Wura would do no good, she wanted to make sure that Wura was alright.
"I am alright Nora, really I am, the only part of my that hurts is my foot" said Wura as Nora took a closer look at her foot.
"It looks swollen my Queen, why did you not call me yesterday as soon as the incident happened?" asked Nora in a worried tone.
"I did not want to disturb you Nora, I was sure that you would be tired, besides, at that time my foot did not hurt at all, it was just fine" said Wura.
"But it does not look fine now my Queen" said Nora with an really deep sigh.
"Luckily Mero already called the Physician, he should be arriving anytime soon so he can take a look at your foot and tell us how serious it is" said Nora as she really did not think that she would be waking up to a problem such as this, this morning.
"I really do think that you all are making a big deal out of nothing, my foot will feel better soon, I just need a few days of rest" said Wura.
"This is not the first time that I have sprained my ankle, it will be just fine" said Wura.
"Well that would be for the physician to tell us my Queen" said Nora.
"Please excuse me my Queen, I will go and check if the Physician has arrived yet" said Nora as she left the room and Wura sighed.
Just what sort of problem had she gotten herself into this time? Wura could tell that Nora was fed up, who would not be?
"If only you had stayed in bed Wura, then all this would have been avoided, but of course, your stubborn self never listens" said Wura with an exasperated sigh as she shook her head.
...
"My Queen, your foot looks rather good for a sprain that was left to its own since yesterday night" said the Physician as he examined Wura's foot which caused her to wince in pain from his touching it.
"You see Nora, I told you it was fine" said Wura as she looked at Nora who frowned.
"But what about the swelling Physician? It does not look like it has any intention of going down soon" said Nora with a worry as the Physician looked at her.
"Well there is no sign of bruising or a broken bone internally, it is just a harmless sprain, and as for the swelling, well if it was winter, I would recommend pressing some ice cold snow on the area" said the Physician.
"But we are currently not in that season, so I recommend smearing the area with honey to reduce swelling, and if the pain still persists, dipping the foot in a bucket of ice cold water could create some relief" said the Physician.
"Alright thank you physician, I will do so right away" said Nora as she nodded mentally taking a note of everything he had said.
"And what about herbs or something to reduce her pain?" asked Nora as she was most worried about Wura feeling unbearable pain, she knew that she was only pretending not to feel the pain at all.
"I would prescribe dried up ginger, thyme and garlic, all would help relieve her pain, they can either be inhaled with hot water, drank as a tea blend, or mixed with food, whichever method you prefer" said the Physician.
"Alright thank you" said Nora as she bowed.
"Thank you Physician, really, I apologize for inconveniencing you with this little matter" said Wura as she smiled.
"It is my pleasure my Queen, I am here to serve" said the Physician as he smiled and Wura smiled at him.
"Well I must take my leave now, you can follow me in order for me to give you the herbs" said the Physician as he looked at Nora and she nodded.
"Oh and one more thing my Queen, you must not move at all, any light pressure on the foot would only aggravate the area delaying your recovery, I ask that you stay in bed until the space of four days has passed" said the Physician as Wura sighed and shook her head, what sort of bad luck did she have? She was in this situation because she was tired of staying in bed, and now she had no choice but to remain in bed.
"I hear you... and I will not move at all" said Wura as the Physician smiled with her compliance.
"Thank you my Queen, please rest well and recover soon" said the Physician with a smile as Wura forced a smile and the Physician and Nora left the room.
Wura groaned immensely as soon as she was alone, this was nothing short of pure torture for her to stay in bed for four days?? Over what?? A silly little sprain that was no big deal.
Wura could not take this at all, she just felt so tired of everything.
While Wura was busy wallowing in her horrible luck, she heard a door on her bedroom door, to which she replied the person come in.
"Good morning my Queen, how do you feel?" asked Mero as he walked into the room and Wura looked at him and groaned.
"Horrible Mero, I feel horrible" replied Wura.
"What happened my Queen, did the Physician say something unsettling?" asked Mero.
"He said many things that made me unhappy" replied Wura.
"Is your foot worse?" asked Mero as Wura sighed.
"No it is fine, but I need to take some herbs for the pain and I have mandatory four days of bedrest, I cannot move my foot lest I only aggravate the injury further" replied Wura with a sigh.
"My Queen, four days is not that bad, I know of some knights who had sprained their ankles and they were out for more than a week" said Mero.
"Mero if that is your attempt to make me feel better, it is not working, that does not make me feel the slightest bit happier, please do not tell me about that" said Wura as Mero noticed her wince as she moved to adjust her position in bed.
"How is the pain in your foot?" asked Mero.
"Fine" replied Wura.
"Are you really sure my Queen? Because it looks swollen to me" said Mero.
"Well if I had said anything other than fine, you would have worried even more" said Wura.
"My Queen, I hate to say this now, but this is why you do not walk around alone in the dark at night" said Mero as Wura scoffed at him and glared.
"Mero if you are really just here to remind me of my mistakes then you can take your leave" said Wura in an irritated tone as suddenly the door opened and both she and Mero turned to look in the same direction.
Nora walked into the room and as soon as she set her eyes on Mero a huge frown was plastered on her face.
"Mero how could you allow the Queen to hurt herself while you were present?" asked Nora in an obviously angry tone as Mero and Wura looked at her.
"Nora wait you misunderstand Mero is not the cause of why I hurt my foot" said Wura as now that she said it out loud, he was kind of the reason why, but her curiosity played a big part in it as well.
"Well then, why did he not come and call me when you first got hurt?" asked Nora.
"How come I only knew about this now?" asked Nora as her eyes were fixed on Mero and it was clear that nothing Wura was saying could make her any less angrier.
