Chapter 407 - Informed me

Mero walked through the halls speedily looking for Liam and yet he could not find him, which was starting to annoy him.

Mero sighed as he shook his head and decided not to go on with this endeavour to find Liam, he probably was with Wura, which meant that he had to find where she was, and she was always usually with Nora, which meant that he had to find her.

Luckily Mero had an idea of where Nora could be at this time, so he turned around and went in that direction instead.

Nora was in the library gathering some books that Wura had asked her to get for her earlier when she heard the doors to the library opened and after followed heavy footsteps.

"Nora have you seen Liam anywhere?" asked Mero as Nora turned to look at him with several books in her hand.

"Ahhh yes I have, his Majesty and the Queen went out for a picnic" replied Nora with a smile as Mero sighed heavily and shook his head, now that explained why he couldn't find Liam anywhere, he was not even on Castle grounds.

"Of course he did, and he did not even bother to tell me that he would be leaving, I have been looking for him everywhere, I need his final say on a particular matter before I go ahead with sending the information out" said Mero in mild annoyance.

"Ahhh I am so sorry Mero, he told me to inform you that he would be going out with the Queen, it must have skipped my mind, I apologize" said Nora.

"That is alright Nora, if he had plans of leaving the Castle today, he should have at least informed me beforehand, now there is a meeting with one of the elders that needs to be cancelled since the King is not available" said Mero as Nora laughed lightly.

"You seem really annoyed today Mero" said Nora.

"That is because I am, first Elihu stupidly made a fool out of himself during training this morning, and I have a lot of work piled up and I have a journey to the fields that has been postponed until Liam is sure of the real amount of harvest" said Mero with a sigh.

"Oh Zuph told me about that, Elihu did really make a fool out of himself, what exactly was he trying to prove?" asked Nora.

"Stupidity that's what, he is just lucky that he did not cut his arm off" said Mero with a scoff.

"And also you did not tell me that you would be going on a journey" said Nora with a little frown on her face.

"It just came up, Liam needs me to check and confirm that the entire harvest for this season is in the correct quantity and that it will also be delivered to their designated areas without incident" said Mero.

"I was going to tell you after dinner" he quickly added.

"I see… so when are you going?" asked Nora.

"I am not sure yet, maybe in two days' time " said Mero.

"Alright…" said Nora.

"Are you upset that I did not tell you I would be going anywhere?" asked Mero.

"No, not at all, you only just found out, and besides you do not have to tell me everything" replied Nora as she placed the books on the table and Mero looked at her.

"That is not true, I do have to inform you about everything, we are in a relationship after all, and we need to communicate well" said Mero.

"I agree…" said Nora as he tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear as she flinched a little.

"When will Liam and the Queen be back?" asked Mero.

"I am not sure, they did not say, but I believe they will be gone for a while, her Majesty really wanted to go out and enjoy the last days of the warm season" replied Nora with a smile.

"Hmm, do you really think that it was a good idea for them to go on that picnic?" asked Mero.

"How do you mean Mero?" asked Nora with a frown she did not get what he meant by that.

"I mean every time they go on a picnic like that, there is never a good outcome, trust me I know, the last time they went on a picnic, the barrier broke and we were all thrown into a spiral of utter chaos" said Mero as Nora laughed.

"Well I did not know that you were superstitious Mero" said Nora as she laughed.

"Well I am not, just realistic" replied Mero.

"Well I for one beg to differ, I doubt that all those incidents have meaning, they were just coincidences" said Nora.

"Besides I think it is nice to go on a picnic alone with someone you care about, it will just be peaceful" said Nora with a smile as Mero watched her closely.

"Do you want us to go on another picnic?" asked Mero.

"Well… no… not really, you are very busy after all, I know that you do not have time for things like that" replied Nora.

"Well no, I do have time for you… if you want to go on a picnic we can go on one before I leave" said Mero.

"Really?" asked Nora in surprise.

"Really" replied Mero as he gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and Nora almost turned red from embarrassment.

"Umm do you not have some more work to do?" asked Nora as she looked around.

"Well yes I do, but before I go, I have something very important to ask you" said Mero as his gaze was intense and Nora just nodded her head, waiting for what he had to say.

"Oh Liam why did you do that??? Now look I am all muddy and dirty" said Wura as she groaned looking at Liam's handiwork, now her lovely yellow dress was all muddy and dirty all thanks to Liam being too rough and pouring water on her.

"You still look lovey regardless" replied Liam as he laughed.

"That does not matter, I really liked this dress" replied Wura in annoyance.

"I like it as well, but you do not need a dress for me to see your true beauty" said Liam as Wura scoffed.

"Well now what am I going to say when we go back home?" asked Wura.

"You do not have to explain yourself to anybody, and even if you want to, just tell them the truth that your lovely husband is to blame" said Liam happily as Wura glared at him.

"Well I will not stop Nora from cursing you when she has to wash all of this mud and dirt out" replied Wura as she stood up.

"Are you ready to go now?" asked Liam.

"Well now thanks to you I need to take a bath and wear another dress before dinner so yes, we are going back now" said Wura.

"Alright then, my darling do I still have a surprise waiting for me later?" asked Liam as he stood up and Wura turned to look at him.

"Well maybe or maybe not, depends on if you are well behaved" replied Wura as Liam laughed.

"Oh is that so?" he asked her as he pulled her into a warm embrace that made her giggle.

"Yes it is so" replied Wura as she laughed.

"Well then I can be very, very well behaved, just tell me what you want me to do my Queen" said Liam in a low voice as he kissed her neck.

"I want you to stop this so we can go back home, we have been gone for so long, Mero must be wondering where you are by now" said Wura as she laughed.

"Not really, I did tell Nora to inform him that we had gone out, besides me leaving for a few hours to spend some alone time with my wife is no crime at all" said Liam as he kissed her ear and she giggled.

"Even as King I need some time off to relax" said Liam.

"I know you do" said Wura as she smiled and turned to face him.

"And I know that everything will become less busy soon, but right now you cannot play with your important duties because of me" said Wura as she smiled.

"But I do not want you to feel alone, or like we are drifting apart without communicating to one another" said Liam.

"I know, and we will never drift apart, I understand just how busy you are, do you forget that I had to take over your duties when you were gone, and even though it was not during the most important time of the year, I was still very busy" said Wura as she caressed his cheek.

"I understand how it feels like everything is weighing on your shoulders, I know how much you have to work on and settle, and I am completely fine with it, just as long as at the end of the day you come back and we just talk and communicate that is all" said Wura.

"You do not have to neglect your duties because you want to keep me happy, it would be totally unreasonable for me to demand that from you" said Wura as she smiled.

"Thank you for saying that Wura, I really needed to hear that" said Liam as he smiled.

"I know you did Liam" said Wura as she gave him a kiss, sure she missed him, but at the end of the day, he still had important duties to fulfil and her role as his wife was to be supportive of him.

"Now come on, we should return to the Castle before Mero ends up scolding you" said Wura as she laughed and Liam laughed, he was really thankful for the wonderful, supportive, lovely wife he had.
